My point was that Timberview is far from a sure bet to make the PO's in District 7. Desoto and Cedar Hill are clearly better and ranked higher. Timberview should be in the mix for one of the last two spots along with Duncanville, Mansfield, SGP and Midlothian. Last year Timberview went 3-1 against those 4, winning a couple in high scoring shootouts. I just don't see them repeating all those wins with the inexperience they will have at QB and the OL.

No way CHILL is clearly better.
I'll bet Tim's defense will be the difference maker.

i'll bet tim's defense will be the difference maker. you could be right, but they will need to play much better than last year when their offense was running up big numbers......we'll see soon enough.

When talking about a program that's won its region ten times in the last 15 years, and not gone more than a year without the crown until last year, "low point" is obviously relative in this case compared to most others.

Interesting item from this morning......TOC's lead DFW writer published their DFW top 20. They don't have Timberview even rated in their top 20 plus 5 on deck.

It looks like they are picking Desoto (#5), Mansfield (#8), CHill (#12) and Duncanville (#16) to make the PO's from District 7.

Is it a Katy "low point" or the rest of the region becoming a little more competitive. Losing to Pearland IMO...wasn't a dig on the program....losing to La Porte...yeah.

I don't think the 2010 team is any sort of "low point". They just happened to run into the best team Pearland has ever fielded.

2011 was a different story. Still think that team was pretty darn good but had a very bad game.

Sh!t happens, that's why they play the game. Katy's last two losses came by 5 points, one of those losses was to the Eventual state champs....come to think of it...2 of the last 3 losses were at the hands of State Champs....

Amazing to me how identitical Katy and Trinity's 2010 and 2011 seasons ended. Pearland in '10, then playing a horrible game in round 3 last year.

No love for Copperas Cove on this or any other top-25 list? Seriously? They may have graduated a big senior class but they usually figure out how to be in the mix come playoff time. Is there some reason you guys are discounting them or have they just been overlooked?

Perhaps Abilene High and Copperas Cove will both see how they are doing after their scrimmage.
