The ONE Game

Actually if you want to make a weekend of it, Thursday night is Guyer vs Cedar Hill, Friday Carroll vs Allen and Saturday in Frisco is Skyline vs Woodlands. All three should be good games, of course I am hoping for a blow out on Friday in Allen.

Even though I think Skyline is going to eviscerate Woodlands in an awesome display of power, I think I would opt for the Saturday College game at Jerry's World with Bama vs Michigan for Saturday.

Okay, so I've decided that I'm going to venture out this year and travel around the state to get a much better picture of the Texas HS football landscape. Don't get me wrong........I'll make it to some Katy games, but I'd like to take the opportunity when Katy is playing teams like Mayde Creek, to get out and see what the rest of the state experiences on Friday nights. Having said all that......I want suggestions. If you look at your schedule, what ONE game would you recommend and why? Dates and times would be appreciated if they're available.

The North Shore game should be a god game no doubt. But the ONE game will be the rivalry game against Deer Park. One of the best rivalries in the area if not the state will take place at the Junk Yard on Friday, Oct. 19, 7:00pm. La Porte leads in this match-up 26-24-1. Last years contest went into overtime with LP coming out victorious!!!

I would love to see this one but I'm not sure Judson will be able to keep up early on with the coaching change. If Judson does keep it close or win that is bad news for the rest of R4.

Yeah, but what's the ONE game you would pick? I'm assuming the LT game? I wouldn't want to recommend the Katy/Mayde Creek game to anyone and I need a little help with what the better matchups are. It doesn't even have to be the two best teams.......maybe it's a rivalry game. I know when Katy plays Katy Taylor, we get all kinds of antics.......sometimes even a streaker. I want the atmosphere as much as the game itself.

The ONE I have my sights on is the Lake Travis playoff game vs Steele in the Death Star the third Saturday in December.

Charged atmosphere. Huge crowds. Next-door neighbors in a Battle Royale, and now we're in the same district, so for the first time ever, it means something more than just bragging rights. Biggest rivalry in the ATX.

Stephenville vs Aledo is always a good one. On 9/7 Katy is playing Alief Taylor. Usually a pretty safe bet on who should win that one

I agree. That Saturday will be something special. The top two Okie programs in town for the H.E.B. Classic.

If not then, then the Lone Star Classic the following Saturday @ Kincade when Miami Booker T. Washington plays Cedar Hill and Desoto/ET in the nightcap.
