    WOW!!
This is pretty disappointing as my son enters his senior starting football season.I stumbled in here nearly two years ago and have been looking forward to this time when he would be playing full time.
Alot of people aren't aware that my husband has moved to Tucson and we decided I would remain here for 18 months so that our son could play for Guyer. We felt that it would be a poor choice to move him to a school in Arizona if he was ever going to have a chance at playing on the next level, not to mention he has been playing with alot of these boys since he was 8. This board has really helped me maintain my sanity in a very difficult time for me...I've not been without a spouse since I turned 21.
ANd I've learned so much about football!! And thanks to the Pick "Em Challenge..where I came in 26th!!..I've also learned about alot of other Texas teams. I enjoy watching other teams and do it whenever possible. I can have somewhat logical conversations with people about football ( don't say it PANTS ).
This board is excellent and really enhances the entire Texas High School Football experience... Surely someone can step in and keep it going!! At least for another year!!!!!. Pretty pretty please....

Jeremy, we have a long history. This board saved my life, literally on two occasions when I was at a low point in my life. We're not going down without a fight so tell me what needs to be done to save the board.

Man, I been a member since 2007. Can't imagine getting on the computer without checking out 5ATXFB first. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you guys have put into this project. I'm certainly glad to have met some great football fans personally on here and enjoy some great games with them as well. I have no idea where we'll get our info now. Any way we can atleast keep the Message Board going???

What needs to be done to keep the sight up? It would be a big blow to the state, but have an even bigger impact on the GHA.....

This brings a tear to my eye for two reasons. 1st, for the good fortune of the admins to be able to move forward with their careers, and moving into other aspects of their lives. Who knows, there may be family committments on the horizon, or just plain needing to go a different direction. The 2nd, as someone already mentioned, my son will be moving into high school this year. I was a reader for over 3 years before joining the site, mainly because I felt I didn't "know enough" about the game outside of basic blocking and tackleing having not played beyond high school. I have relived my playing years through the thoughs and comments of others. It has been an outstanding experience, and I have gained a new appreciation of the game.

I have to agree with dada and Mr. Rod, what can we do? My computer experience is nill, but I would be willing to pay to play if needed. I know this turns some folks off, but realistically, how do you survive with the amount of time needed to make it run, without some type of compensation. All the best,

Sad to see the sight go. Really enjoyed the banter over our great sport the past several years. Hopefully someone can come in and take over or someone can suggest an alternative sight we can go to. Good luck to the KTs and thanks.

    Remember the alamo......

No but really, remember who Laredo is. This is my good-bye to all of you in this forum for I was with you for 4 seasons. I've learned a lot from almost every team in the great state. Remember that with God, anything is possible. Believe in the power of praying. I was going to mention later that the SAC was getting new turf. Now this.....

Their is a secret you should start thinking about of our town. When you realize miracles are happening around you, you know that he is near. Do not believe in the person who says he is their or look he is over their. I urge you not to get near that person who claims they see him. Our town has grown because of the one that I can not mention. When the true one comes near, you know you are safe. Keep in mind that we are a city of 7 flags. Once a country, with some enormous magic. He will come soon to you, and when he does you know you are close to paradise. Look around when you are in the city, you feel that their is something great upon every citizen. Do not feel forsaken, always be positive.
    Always trust in you're heart.
