"We had a great offense. Some people say we were one- dimensional by only running the ball, but if it's not broke, don't fix it, and if they can't stop the run, we're going to run it down your throat." -Adam Taylor, RB Katy
I'm not sure what I just said. But, it must have been good. You read it. Oh...and BACON!
GO DAWGS!
But, DeKaney's okay??? I'd have Pearland in there. And yes...NS is too low.
As far as not being sold on La Porte, the team that's been standing in the way for the last few years has been Katy. I think all can recognize their accomplishments. If you don't move past them, you're an afterthought. It doesn't make your team a loser. It means you lost to a multiple State Championship team that happens to be in your Region.

Not sold on Dekaney...they have to prove that they have a good system and just didnt benefit from a good "Class" and Trey Williams. Pearland should be there IMO.
Here is where it gets sketchy...everyone knows I'm a "katy guy" so it might come off as being a "Hater" if I dont go Pro-Laporte. Yes, the beat Katy head to head in a game that could have went either way, but I want to see them play as the hunted and not the hunter. The PAM game even though it wasnt shocking, was confusing. LaPorte will not be under the radar and I want to see how they respond being the team everyone circles on THEIR schedule and Vice Versas. In ranking LP, everyone will remember the win over Katy more than the loss to PAM. since 04, 6 teams have ended Katy's season with a loss....4 of the 6 made the title game with Clear Lake and LP being the exceptions.
With All the players returning, LP will be a team to watch, but like I said, how will they respond with the targets on theirs backs?

The Klein Oak lovefest has always baffled me. What have they done to deserve the consistently high ratings? Sure they are a solid team but so are all of the Cy's.

Back From The Dead!
Feeling like a three legged border town Mexican dog!
Ranking Region 3 this year is truly a shot in the dark. I don't see a program that truly "deserves" a #1, and it is tough to even justify placements for a top five. There's no king of the hill. Wide open.
I'm not impressed with what I see on paper compared to past years. Ultimately, overall strength will be determined by how teams develop during the season. I honestly can't point to one program right now and guarantee they'll be in the mix for a region championship. Preseason rankings could be pretty harsh for R3.
Regions 3 Will be fun this year. Gonna make as many games as I can.
Don't Say "We" Unless You Play On The Team.
Arrogance is Bliss.
