Just for the hell of it I decided to do a full olympic weight training circuit in the bulgarian school of training.
For those who don't know, the Russians used to dominate Olympic weight lifting until a disgruntled Bulgarian lifter became the coach in Bulgaria. Workouts went from 1-2 hour lifting sessions (like we all tend to do) to a broken up system of 15-20 minutes attempting only 1 and 2 rep maxes. They'd have 6-8 rounds of lifting per day. Due to them not obliterating their CNS and causing very little muscular demand with high % lifts they could essentially train at maximum intensity all day long. They absolutely obliterated the rest of the world.
Being as I work in a gym on and off throughout the day I decided I'd give it a shot.
3 days in and I am stronger than ever. Seriously. I feel like a monster in the gym and have skyrocketed some lifts.
Anyone else ever try something like this?
