Only things going on right now is camps, gym and golf. With realignment and reading all the posts it will ony make conversations ever more wicked with LT and SV in the mix. I know that HPUalumni will be able to give good insight on what it seen when the season starts.

I think you get away with it if you got a short player on the d-line, rather than on the offense or in the secondary. in between tackles.

over here in goat roper'ville we kinda like short on the D-line, nah I know we like short, strong, and very quick on the D-line. Of course all of them are returning along with the rest of the defense. Can't wait to Brandais and United in the first two games. Oh yea, we got a madison game, too. in between a Monterray Tech game if the cartels let um show up.

If we both do our jobs we will finally get that Steele vs sV matchup in the region finals. It should be a dandy. Of Course we both looked forward to the LT matchup and ended up on the wrongside of that one through a couple of years. Maybe one of us will get another shot in the title. Of course if we don't beat each other up to bad we will have to get by Katy, to see LT. Not sure how Katy is in D2 but I guess the UIL gods didn't like um not winning in D1, one of us can get um though, I'm confident.

Amen bro. Hopefully we can stay healthy, improve week by week, and make it to the regional final and give SV a game of it. I have no doubt of what SV will be capable of this year. IMO, this year could very well be the most talented team the Ranger's have ever fielded. I know that will probably draw some comments from all the old school Rangers out there but the fact is I don't believe they've ever had 9 starters return on defense or a RB quite like the beast that is fixin to be unleashed! Not to mention a couple of scrawny little old lineman on the O-side!

That said, it takes the stars to line up well to make it all come together in the end. The most important thing is keeping the 'key' players healthy for 16 games. Yes, in the end it takes 22 but the fact is if you lose a kid like Mattison your chances of winnng it all go down a pretty good bit.

Good luck to your Rangers except, if and when they meet up with SCUCISD!

I will have to check ours out the next time I'm at the school to see how it's done. I do know the one from 2010 is a lot prettier then the one from 2011 even though they are very similiar! Something about the STATE CHAMPIONS thing that makes it purdy

Your Tigers were a bit much the following week back in the Buffalo Dome! I thoroughly enjoyed the title game there the next weekend though. That was one of the best title games I ever saw.

Oddly on the flip side, 28-5A is very strong in baseball...go figure. Traditionally King is always good, EC is good along w/ SW and South San is back! Then there's Carrol, a nationally ranked team this season!

As far as Steele Football, our coaches have their work cut out for them IMO. Keeping players sharp and focused, especially towards the end of the regular season heading into play-offs. It will be a fine balance of resting starters and playing time for 2nds and 3rds.

Lastly, everything I've read about that Johnson issue seemed right on que. I was there w/ my oldest son. But last season my youngest son reported to me that the week of practice heading in the Johnson game was below average by players AND coaches! It almost cost us as Johnson came to Play!

We've never been a baseball powerhouse in SCUCISD. Clemens has had a few good teams over the years but never a contender like in football.

Just look at CC Moody and how good they are almost every year in baseball yet struggle so bad everywhere else! For that matter, the Coast Bend in general has some GREAT baseball at many levels!
