Kimpela's junior year he played alot in the 2nd halves of games that got out of hand. In fact there was alot of clamor for Kimpela atleast returning ko's instead of Tevin but that never transpired. Alot of us Trinity fans were thinking of ways to have Kimpela on the field since it was Tevin & Tusan in the starting backfield. Yes Kimpela was on varsity during his jr year.

only had touches in 4 games. I distinctly remember his game against our JV and here are his Varsity stats from 2010

    8/28 Tyler Lee 3 carries 12 yards
    10/8 Haltom 14 135
    10/15 Nimitz 2 84
    11/20 Allen 1 rec 32

    "Very" limited action on varsity.

    2/84?
Our punter should average that much.

He took advantage of the carries and catch that he had, no doubt.

Kimpella spent some time on JV, but due to injuries, and his performance in the Varsity games he did get into , he was brought up to Varsity for much of the year.

The Haltom and Nimitz game I particularly remember. 14-135 was all 2nd half. I don't remember seeing any Trinity deep backups perform like that except the Flower Mound and Shiloh Christian games. The 2-84 was one 10 yard carry and one 74 yard carry down to about the 9 yard line or so. We were all like, "WoW!".

4 games is "much of the year" ? With Trinity playing in 16 games in 2010, it would be better to say, "he had touchs in 25% of the games". I am not going to recount all of the skepticism posted by the Trinity followers here, but my general impression last off season was that there is no way that all of these people can be this naive.

To you it was skepticism. To me it was healthy cautionism.

Yes but I'm guessing you wear a belt with your suspenders too

But the games Kimpela didn't have touches he stood on the sidelines during varsity games as we all looked at the back of #22 and wondered how can he get more touches. Whether his action was limited or not Kimpela was known about his junior year by his varsity performance.

A new poster called Oldman (hint, hint) came on board with three posts that his son........er, I mean.......a kid named Chrisitian Hammack should be the Trinity QB this year based on his smarts, size and history of winning.
All of a sudden.....quiet came about.
He has a highlight page with a bio and video but you have to have Hudl to view it.
