Creek and Fair in winners bracket. Woods and JV in consolation. Creek beat Georgetown 52 to 45. Beat Harlingen 54 to 13 lost to Plano 44 to 41. Play Abilene at 9! Creek scored on 16 consecutive possessions
Creek lost in the first game today to Abilene and Cy-Fair got knocked out in the first round by South Lake Carroll
Not sure about JV and Woods.
Creek continued to play well this weekend, - I am telling you the Cougars have a shot to be good this year.

LOL - poor, poor Falls....
7 on 7 is not a great indicator IMO. When is the last time a champion of 7 on 7 won state? I'm serious - I don't really know because I don't care for 7 on 7 so there may be some double champs for all I know. It is great for team building and getting some reps down, especially when a team is young. Falls isn't there because of a coin toss for crying out loud! It really isn't going to make a difference. I think 17-5a will be just as competitive as it always is, regardless of 7 on 7, and every game is important no matter the opponent during the real season.

Tough day for CFISD in College Station
Lake Travis 41 Cy-Fair 12 - lost game 1 (winners bracket)
Abilene 48- Cy-Creek 35 - lost game 1 (winners bracket)
Occonor 41 Cy-Woods 33 - lost game 1 (consolation)
Dulles 34 JV 33 - lost game 1 (consolation)
I agree and disagree. If you are a team that runs a 7on7 offense - I do not think it is a great benefit for the regular season offense. For a team such as Creek that runs their own offense those thousand or so reps during summer really help build confidence in the QBs and recievers and give them the ability learn what works against different defenses on particular plays.
Creek is a senior laden team and this summers 7on7 experience has helped shape their team and should prove worthwhile experience in the coming months.
I think we are in good shape - Creek alway seems to have great running backs (Harper/Mitchum/Selders/Demas)
One RB did not play 7on7 because of track commitments. Another was going to move and ended up staying and was not on the 7on7 team. Plus the RB'S that played well 7on7.
Going back to the spread will help us.
Three weeks until practice begins!
Four weeks until KO scrimmage!
Five weeks until Week 0!!!!
It's getting close, guys!![]()

Disagree - over the last couple years we have had d-lineman go to and play at Northwestern, Stanford (although he became a o-tackle and started on the right side last year protecting Luck) Texas State, and an All-American JUCO player. Seem to always have a 300+ in the middle of the 3-4 (although we are switching defenses this year) Creek has had the top or one of the top defenses in the district 3 of the last 4 years.
Last year we had a ton of injuries and concussions - hopefully we can dodge the injury bug this year!

Is it too early to start deciding the 175A preseason rankings?

My stab at it.
1. Falls - Everyone seems to think so anyways. Defense should be really good this year.
2. Woods - Sounds to have a very complete package this year. Nate German @ qb with several offers.
3. Fair - Lost alot last year but always reloading now. One of the best qb's in the district is back.
4. Creek - A healthy team this year may be on the upswing again.
5. Langham - Fiest. Defense?
6. Ranch - Ford but what else.
7. Ridge - Odd to see them this low. Can they rebound this year?
8. JV - Good qb & rb could move them up as the year goes along.
9. Lakes - Not enough talent in the past few years.
10. Springs - Start them here and see how the new coach does.
