Okay, Joe is putting the pressure on me - seems that it's getting late and we need to get started!!. So here is the thread - we can start with realignment and go from there. Any more rumors about breaking the district up btw? I have taken a short break from the site as I usually do after that last Falls play of the year so I haven't been keeping up lately.

LOL, you might just be the only one who would take the job. Seriously though, just curious if anyone has heard any names being mentioned as the next coach. Perhaps some of the OC/DC's at any of the schools in CFISD or do they go outside the district for someone with HC experience?

At least recent history seems to show that they would like to try and promote from inside the district. There were 2-3 CFISD coaches in the mix for the Falls gig 2 years ago. Woods opens and JV coach gets it. Langham needs coach, Thompson from Falls gets the nod. Lakes opens, Springs coach gets it.

Girls are ripping everyone a new one. Usually doubling down on the scores. I think one score was 90-something to 20-something.

Boys seem to be grinding out the wins.

Have not heard any about "breaking the district up" but maybe you are referring to splitting them into the two zones. While I like the idea of having more non-district games to prepare for district play, I see more problems with more than two top teams being in one zone but anything past 2 not making playoffs. Also, I like playing ALL the teams in district each year to really see how each team stacks up. We have several good teams each year and some are up and down from year to year. Springs seems to be the only one that stays down. I vote to leave it as it is and let's play!

breaking up the district would be good for Cy Fair ISD though because you could potentially get 8 teams into playoffs rather than just 4.
