There must have been 3 from Texas. The Lightening Dancers from Keller Central were also a part of the Rose parade this year.

We Are Central...
Very exciting for 3 Texas drill teams to be involved!

Go MARCUS!
There were pictures up on Facebook at 6 am (4 am California time) of them already in costume and make up. That was 4 hours before it started.
The latest pictures show them on the bus and everyone in view is passed out.![]()

All bands from the four high schools in Lubbock are participating in the Rose Parade today. They are under one banner as the All Lubbock Band. My niece is in the Monterey Band and Im so glad she gets to partake in something as special as this.![]()

Hebron Silver Wings, Lake Travis Cavalettes, and Harlingen Southern Stars were chosen by HTE, a dance company contracted by the Tournament of Roses Parade, to do the opening number.
Lightning Dancers from Keller Central, also through HTE, performed the closing routine.
They all were up at around midnight (or earlier) to do hair and makeup, then got on the bus to the parade site, started rehearsing at 3am, stopped at 5am for breakfast and a little rest, and then back in position at 7am.
All this after hours of practice each of the 3 days before the parade.
And after the opening dance is a 6-mile walk on one-inch heels, waving to the crowd. Brutal. But they never stopped smiling.
So proud of them all. Texas was well-represented.
