Good that LT is in our district, If you want to be one of the best, you have to play against the best, all teams will definitly get a taste of that next two years.
Hoping DV can improve in the defense side of the ball, offense will be better, should be getting back hand full of returning starters.

I think they are pretty accurate on the (10-11)16-5A redraw. I've heard it's basically going to be a RRISD/PISD district. Me and some friends were having fun with school names, after partaking, if RRISD followed Cy's naming pattern starting all the high schools with the same first portion...this is some of what we came up with...

Round Rock Quarry High (McNeil)
Round Rock Woods High (Westwood)
Round Rock Point High (Stony Point)
Round Rock Ridge High (Cedar Ridge)
Round Rock Rock High (Duh)

Xxavier Holman RB 5' 5" 160 carries-153 yards-849 missed three games due to injury, was on a 1000 yd. pace.
He is going to be the main key to DV offense next year, along with Josh Cleveland helping out.

Aneas Hendricks QB/RB 5-9 160 should be taking over as starting QB, hoping he can improve on his skills over the season.
He had very limit playing time, don't know if coach Wash will keep him at QB, he may switch him around with wildcat formations.

Chris Campbell WR 5-10 170 30/409 Small but effected with a bit of speed,
he is going to be a key target, needs to practice on catching the ball, drop a few catchable balls last year, can be dangerous out in the open.

DV did not particapate in 7-on-7 past two years, which I think that really hurt them in getting prepare for 5A, with all the dropped passes and timing routes, DV needs to get back in to that.
Helps the DB with coverage skills, DV got burned alot on long passes.

The extra months participating in 7-on-7 would very much help Del Valle. It doesn't help every team though. Lake Travis has actually thought of dropping 7-on-7 because football is a contact sport and it can sometimes affect the mindset of the players.

Westlake hasn't really had an arch rival in district than can consistently keep up. Lots of teams hate on WL but we haven't really had a true rival, should be exciting. I haven't heard about next years team but you know we always will be very competitive, I'm sure gochaps or westlaketech could shed some light, I've been away from the football program for a few years now and don't have any more inside sources.

What about Austin High?? They've been pretty competitive with Westlake... 18-2?? or something like that.

Westlake will always be pretty competitive so I know that next year will have some very exciting district games! All this talk about it, and I can't wait!!!

back in 08-09 DV did participate in 7-on-7 and help them win 17-4A district during that year, and ever since then DV has not be in 7-on-7 and the last two years they have only won 4 games, I think it helps a bit.

DV should be in the mix for a playoff spot, crossing fingers.

Where are my pflugerville people at? We need to get some respect round here..
pflugerville has a surplus of first year juniors coming back, a 2-deep playoff appearance which featured a loss against the eventual state champion (Dekaney), and what i consider a team that can win its district and go deep in playoffs. Any thoughts??

PHS used to be well represented on this board. Last couple of years Panther fans have been scarce. Pville in my mind is always a playoff contender in this district. Don't know about winning it though. With two PISD schools likely to be in the new north Austin 5A district next season maybe we'll have some Panther and Hawk fan round here.
