San Antonio Holmes/Del Rio.....1981 ????

I've got two co-workers arguing about what their district looked like in 1981....
The two teams were Del Rio and San Antonio Holmes...Were they in the same district in 1981?
I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything but playoff scores for those two teams that year.

Yes, they were. Holmes won that year 26-0.

I think they were in the same district with Edgwood ISD !

Holmes, Jay, Marshall, Clark, Edgewood, Memorial, Kennedy, Del Rio. Eagle Pass was also used as a designated blowout for Del Rio and the Northside teams in that district the two (2) previous biennial alignments between 1976 and 1979, but starting in 1980 when Judson was moved out of its district with the southside teams and the Laredos to join the Northeast teams in what was then to be 32-5A, Eagle Pass took the Rockets' place in 29-5A and they were finally able to get a little bit of traction on their competition

They were also in the same district in Holmes' inaugural season.... 1964.

Class 3-A at the time.
