Pulled his schollie today. His situation was not getting better. He was just kicked off the Rockdale Basketball team too.

as of yesterday, wasn't every Texas schoolboy off of the basketball team?

Seriously, heard he was showing no progress in meeting very basic requirements(academics,) in addition to the hoops(attitude) issue.

Sounds like a prime candidate for the Brown Shirts.

Tech will play Texas State in 2012. Texas State is currently renovating their stadium to over 30k capacity.

I can't help but to think that red will overrun that little thing. Just like TCU in 06 and SMU in 08.

Damn shame that this kid is throwing away a full scholarship for a free education, not to mention his potential to one day play in the NFL. Maybe he'll get his act together before it's all said and done, but it's not looking real good at the moment.

How do you feel about Doege coming in and starting. It's been 5 years since he's started a game. Very odd. David Ubben from ESPN (hate that guy) had a cool article about him and how Weeden hadn't started a game in 9 years.

I haven't had a chance to see him. Been busy with work and school. I won't even be able to make it out to the spring game because of work.

But my roommate, f18, was telling me Doege looks real good. So hopefully he his judgement is correct. Considering f18 see's the offense pretty much every practice I'll trust his judgement.

I think whoever starts we will be in pretty good shape no matter who it is.

unfortunately that is the chance you take being a QB. With all the glory that comes with wins comes being the goat when the team loses. Kinda like pitchers in baseball. That is the leadership position. BTW I think they go 8-3 during the regular season.
