Understood. I just had a feeling that with Brown going to Texas with Shead already there, and TCU being loaded at running back, I saw A&M with the best chance to land Gray. At the same time, I still wouldn't count the Aggies out.

Knight and Davis being at A&M could be a good problem. If one doesn't win the QB job, I think you could put the other on the field at another position. They're both too good of athletes to leave on the sideline.

Think A&M had a good idea that JGray wasn't committing there. A&M was in the conversation, but I think it has been TCU v Texas battle all along. But you're right, I think this guarantees it won't be A&M. We'll find out this Thursday where he chooses.

A&M is putting together a very talented class and it'll be interesting to see what they do with all their QBs. Pre-injury, Davis was one of the quickest football players I've ever seen. I also thought he had the chance to develop into a great QB. Missing his junior season has most likely slowed his overall development, but he's still a must get in my opinion.

Trevor Knight's ability was apparent the first time I saw him live in his first game as a sophomore (tweeted about it too). Pretty good size, good athletic ability, and throws a good ball.

I don't think A&M was getting Gray anyways, but I'll still take him. I'm definitely not going to complain with Williams and Bourque (assuming he gets his grades straightened out). Also rumored that Bralon Addison could be considering a switch from okie state to A&M.

I wonder if Trevor Knight night decommit since Davis is ok board. I'd like to keep them both.

Well I found the answer to the Davis/Knight deal. Guy that posts on shaggy (maybe hornfans?) and 247 is cousins with Knight and says that he's all A&M. Good to know!

I think the tip of the iceberg started when the Frogs landed Pachal out of Brownwood, and then Waymon James when he came out of Sherman. Getting LaDarius Brown out of Waxahachie was huge as well.

Reports during most of spring practice were that Jameill Showers was the leading candidate for backup in front of Matt Joeckel. However, I heard he played very good today. Sherm has stated he won't make an official decision until the fall.
