I don't think Gilbert is the answer. I have nothing against him, I just think his surroundings at LT probably made him look better than he was.

I've never seen anything on Connor Wood so I can't comment, but from what I saw of Ash in the Abilene v Belton game that kid has a BIG league arm.

Ash needs a year from what ive seen of him now, but if he comes in blazing in the fall....i can see him taking the job by game 2 or 3.

I don't know about the 8-10 games, but I do think UT beats A&M this year. Of course that is based upon the belief that we get our QB's and O-Line in order, and the secondary is polished by then.

I am willing to bet on that, I will change my avatar to an A&M avatar for the remainder of the calendar year 2011 if Aggie wins. What will you do?

I appreciate his posts. They can be acerbic and biting at times, but most on here are similar at some point or other. He does have good football knowledge and adds to the forum, both high school and college. He and I have had our differences in the past, but we resolved them.

He is very good at getting under Aggie skin however.

Talked to Shreveport Woodlawn head coach Carlos Holmes tonight.

UT OL coach Stacy Searels stopped by the school today and watched film on DE Torshiro Davis. According to coach Holmes, Searels watched only a few plays and said he'd seen enough and extended a verbal scholarship offer.

Bo Davis is expected to stop by later this spring.

Davis will be at UT's camp the first weekend of June, at which point it sounds like he'll likely sit down with Mack Brown to make the offer official. Davis is still committed to LSU but is evaluating other options
