Default Waco Midway @ Waco High Homecoming (Midway will move to 5-A next re-alignment)

This game should sell out..... Waco is 2-3 and Midway is 5-0 and state ranked in 4-A. Midway has grown so much and is pushing over 2,200 students already. A large influx of athletes on top of it.....

The series is tied up 2-2.

SERIES: MIDWAY 2 VS WACO 2

    2009 16-4A MHS 20 - WHS 17 W
    2008 16-4A MHS 26 - WHS 14 W
    2007 16-4A MHS 3 - WHS 28 L
    2006 16-4A MHS 14 - WHS 65 L

    SCORING SERIES………….MHS 60 PTS…WHS 124 PTS
    SCORING PER GAME AV…MHS 15 PTS…WHS 31 PTS
    WACO + 16 PTS

If you are in the area I highly suggest this one..... Waco is the upset kings.

So then Super, what does this mean for districts? Bryan, A&M go to Houston district with Midway coming with us? Are you going to become a Midway fan and foresake the once mighty Lions? Must be hard for you huh? BTW, how's that supercentex site coming along, still going? I used to post on their under "poolangel". Get back.

I think they just add in Midway and leave the rest alone.

Never a Midway fan.... LOL Even against Longview I wanted them to lose. With the Waco offense I think we can go far...as long as we stay healthy. Midway is in for a fight this Friday.

Killeen High is supposed to be coming back to 5A also next alignment, they redrew the lines in KISD to even out enrollments and Killeen will be at 5A #s.

If Temple or Cove doesn't drop you could see

    Midway
    Killeen
    Harker Hts
    Ellison
    Shoemaker
    Temple
    Belton
    Cove

AMC and Bryan would pair w/Lufkin I bet and play in a North Houston district

If Midway gets by the 5A jump this next time around they are seriously fudging numbers. My nephew is there now as of this year and he was told they have over 2,200 students and still growing.... last re-alignment they had over 1900 students....this fall they had over 200 more new students enroll.....

The two growing areas here are China Spring and

    Hewitt/Woodway/McGregor/Speegleville (Midway)

Not too too long ago there was NOTHING on Hewitt Drive by Midway. Now you drive down it and there is pretty much everything... Kinda crazy just how fast it has grown....

Will move to 5A next alignment? So will Lake Travis, Smithson Valley, Cedar Park, Vista Ridge, Pearland Dawson and many other 4A schools from growing areas. With the demise of the city of Waco, I guess the only 4/5A school to cheer for is the burb school, where the demos have changed BIG TIME!!! The post goes in the 4A area.

Midway should be a force in 5-A for years.

From what I saw it's total night and day from 2006 until now.

They are getting athletes and have the depth to stay with anyone in 5-A along with great coaching and a great fan base.

Cove and Midway game this year would be a great one. Too bad it won't happen....

The days of Johhny Tusa Waco High football are long gone. I think we're going through what John Tyler went through and it SUCKS.

I said after Cedar Park drilled Ellison that it could be a Cedar Park - Waco Midway D-1 4-A State Final.... what a great one that would be.

Cedar Park won't beat any good team with speed and a passing attack to go along with a solid defense. Midway beat which good teams in non-district?

Who would Cedar Park play in the playoffs? Aren't they in Region 4?

Midway is very strong... i'm telling you...stronger than when they had Hubert.... their QB is the Baylor baseball head coach and he must have gone to QB school this past summer because he is pretty freakin good at reading coverage. We will see how they do against Stephenville and Killeen.... plus we're all in Region 1 now.... instead of being in Region 2. First round will be cake because they play the sorry team from District 7.... after that maybe a test..and the rest is cake til the semi-finals against Region 2.

Round Rock, Belton, RR McNeil, Everman and Austin Bowie were their non-district wins

They didn't just beat them... they man-handled them.... They are a great defensive team.... not just offensive.... really didn't see any weakness besides a few penalties....
