Please stop them from doing that... My goodness it's irritating!

very irritating.
i don't give a **** about MJ and his boxer briefs. and i certainly don't want half my screen taken up by the stupid ad.
and no, it has nothing to do with the kind of internet you have.
YNWA. Boomer Sooner. Thunder Up. Protect The Tradition.
It's irritating on this site but outright annoying with the new Yahoo site. Makes me want to change my email.
And I also have no interest in MJ's undies.
agree.
I'm not getting them anymore.
Boy, they'll sell anything to make a buck off of Michael Jackson...![]()
i got zooey deschanel so i'm good
Delivering the 5A news that matters to you!
welsches grape juice.... it makes me thirsty.
This is where you post something no one else cares about.
The worst are the rollover ads that take up 3/4 of the top of each page in a banner ad.
The use of the scroll bar (every time a new page returns to top of page) causes you to rollover the ad and create a "click" for the website.
It's very annoying.

Try Firefox with the adblocker add-in. It is truly a godsend.

Firefox + Adblocker FTW. Super easy to dowload and get running, solves this problem easily.
I don't know what yall are talking about on 5A? I don't get it on my Mac at home or my work PC. I don't see anything popping up.![]()

What, Mac's can't run Firefox?Don't gimme that.
And the adblocker plugin won't run on Apple firefox? mebbe, but easy to check. I would be surprised if this doesn't work for you.
and RR, sometimes sites will do A/B testing, with some getting the pop and others not. Those ads when they pop can then send data to 'somebody' to indicate the ad was viewed, doesn't require the 'click-thru' of a normal web ad.

hmmmm I just noticed here at work that I don't get ads on the page. awesome.
Ha, ha, ha... You got me there... Except... My expectations are that if someone is going to change their web site to throw the pop outs at me they should at least know that I don't like junk mail either... And that's what it is like...
Although I guess for what I pay for usage I could move over to Firefox...
Wait a minute, I'm from Katy and we'll complain if we want to... And, as you all know, quite often, we want to... Ha!
I use firefox.
