There is another entrance/exit that is not shown in the diagram located behind home plate area of the parking lot and travels west into a new cut into Wurzbach Parkway. That's in addition to the one shown on Thousand Oaks, which might be a bit small. I would have thought they would have made a cut onto the westbound on-ramp to Wurzbach Parkway at the southeast corner lot for exiting traffic. Future improvement maybe.

Hero's will probably be the most accessable stadium in the area. You can come in off of Wurzbach Hwy or Thousand Oaks and then you'll also be about 1/4 miles off of I 35. I really don't forsee any major trafic problems at all. Only question I have is are those 4 rows closest to the field that are seperated from the stands going to be a handicap section ?

I went by there on Wednesday, June 17, and I am unsure IF they will have the facility ready by the start of the 09 season. The field turf is down, but the press box is not complete, none the parking lot is done, there is lots of things not finished.

Maybe all this stuff only takes 60 days to wrap up.

You will be able to tell when SV is playing at Hero Stadium. Trucks will be parked along Wurbach parkway, instead of in the parking lot!

Prediction: This will be one windy stadium. Pedominate wind from SE accelerates as it sinks coming off the hill from the old quarry plant south and into the old quarry the field sits in.

The Press box doesn't look finished. Nor the Concessions areas, the fencing, the parking lot(s), scoreboard(s). In other words, since the finish work is now ready to begin, NOW it gets expensive. Here is where cost oversights generally are discovered.

In their defense, the lights are now up.

Shouldn't there be some sort of padding over the concrete at either end? OR, will that get done, when the track is laid down? In other words, will these end areas, be covered with the same, rubbery surface, as the track?

Pretty sure it comes after the track is laid. Concessions,etc are pretty quick deals. Fencing is after the fact also. They look pretty far along to me...........parking can be quick, striping takes longer.........

It took forever to see any progress at all. The BAM, out of nowhere the grandstand were up, the field house was nearly complete, the lights went up, and some of the parking lots were done. I'd bet a couple bucks on the construction being 99% done by opening day. Here's hoping anyway, bc we have to play O'Connor. All we need is another J.I.S.D. incident.

My company built the concrete superstructure for this stadium. it was a fun build and from the moments the plans hit my desk 18 months ago I knew it would be a nice stadium.If any one wants photos from the early construction phase's i can surely email them to you.
