    Default Does losing get old?

what is it like to be in a losing program? i have always wondered what the players are thinking in the heat of srping ball knowing that they are probably not going to win but a game here or there. what could possibly be going through there heads? what do the coaches say to them after practices and games?
I have often tried to ponder such a feeling of sparity, but graduating from such a success driven school, losing is something i could not fathom.
If you have any insight on the subject, enlighted us with failure!

If a player is ever out during Spring drills thinking that they probably wont win, then he needs to quit football and the coaches future with that program should be in question. I dont care if you're riding a 40 game losing streak. You should enter every offseason expecting to win it all.

He/she didn't say anything about a "powerhouse", just said a success driven school.

Ask Baylor...they should give you a pretty good answer.

I don't know....Port Lavaca Calhoun still has pretty good crowds and they haven't done anything in decades.

Going from a winning football team from a losing team in a one year span, sucked really hard. During spring ball for us, we just jacked around and didnt really think it was that important. As I watch next years team, they are working so amazingly hard, i hope i am in town for some of the season next year

This is the kind of thread that just begs for a flame war to start so I'll put a stop to it before it spirals out of control. I heard that, I don't know if it was your intention, but the post came off as being arrogant.

Southlake Carroll has the kind of program that speaks for itself. No one is on top forever, and losing is something everyone will go through at some point.

How well a program responds to failures (and successes) determines how long they maintain any kind of streak.
