So do all you talent evaluators out there still think The great Tech offenses were a result of a "system" or some good players? Now you have evidence that it is not just the " system."
If I am Chris Todd( the also ran in the race for starting QB at Tech), I am kicking myself. "How could I get benched by this guy?"
Graham Harrell looks like he just walked off the field in Ennis into Amon G Carter Stadium. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
Tech's D has kept them in the game, but they can only do so much!

The debacle is mercifully over.
The High-powered offense of the Red Raiders lived up to their hype by scoring 3 points.
THREE POINTS!!!!
TCU wins 12-3.

tech d allows no TDs and they lose. What a disgrace!
I will say there is just a little bit of substance behind the "hype!," but even the best passing offense in the country will sputter without a great pilot at the helm...:(

Guys, guys, guys. Slow down. Harrell made plenty of mistakes, its true. But he was harried and harassed all day, and lets not forget that his recievers dropped more than their fair share of catchable balls.
Chalk this one up to a bad outing for a young guy, and we are MISSING Jarret Hicks. Tech would have been able to get their offense going better if TCU's dbs had to keep track of Hicks all the time.
As for Harrell, he needs to work on reads and stop fixating on that over the middle pass. He did miss the open man quite a bit.
Any word on what injury Vasquex went down with?

tech's defence was not the only reason that tcu didn't get any TD's.. TCU had 12 penalties for 105 yartds.. that kind of killed them too.. but tech just got beat..but the tech fans stayed till the end.. well the ones in my section did anyways. TCU diserves some respect.. but they wont get ranked any higher till they can stop getting a million penalties in each game...TCU must have learned that from SA mac Arthur...with all those penalties.

Harrell looked terrible. Was he the best QB option for Tech this year?

I agree 100 percent! It was a sloppy game played by TCU also. Texas Tech played a pretty good team and the Frogs aren't really getting any credit for the win. As for Harrell, he went up against a great defense and his recievers didn't do him any justice by dropping passes. Give the young man a break!

I've been busy doing high school stuff, but I'll respond and say the same thing I would've said yesterday.
1. Tech dropped too many passes.
2. The defense played well.
3. I thought the playcalling was terrrible at times.
4. There was nothing in particular that I would place blame on Harrell.
Here's my take. TCU is a very good team and this was a trap game for Tech. They were playing the best non-BCS team in the country and got punked. They didn't take them serious and got their heads handed to them. I don't care that it was almost 100 degrees with like 80% humidity. You have to come ready to play and Tech wasn't. I blame Mike Leach. He can say he had the worst offense in the country, but it's his job to have them ready and they haven't been the last 2 weeks.
I'm going to use a SLC line and say TCU hit Tech until they turned purple. Tech was spent in the 4th quarter and was just waiting to get out of town with their loss at the end. Tech wasn't ready to fight a war, but TCU was. TCU wanted the game more than Tech did. Vasquez came back to play after getting hurt. Robert Johnson got nailed late in the 4th and didn't come back. Fletcher Session got hurt in the 4th and didn't come back. Tillman got tossed for being an idiot.

i thought the play calling by tech was bad at times. i remember on a few occasions on 3rd and long they would run a draw up the middle luckily shannon woods bailed them out. also the tech qb would chose a less open reciever who maybe wasnt as far down field when they really needed yardage. that, and tech recievers dropped alot of balls. i was impressed by woods running ability. yea tcu had alot of penalties but it seemed about half of them were false starts. but tcu didnt have a guy thrown out for hitting an opposing player from the sideline after the whistle.

How about that stupid pitch play they ran on 3rd and 1? I hated some of those calls and kept saying, "What are they thinking?"

He should've called them that. TCU hit 'em till they turned purple. I was there and know how hot it was, but I also told the TCU fans next to me in the 4th quarter that the Frogs had beat them down. Tech wanted to get out of there with their loss on Saturday. They had their wills broken. It all happened because Tech didn't take them serious and come into Fort Worth to play. They knew TCU was gunning for them and they didn't prepare. You can't do that with the best non-BCS team in the country.
What gets me is Leach has done all this talking the last 2 weeks and pretty much since Fall Practice began about how they're pansies and nothing has worked yet. I'm glad they made Tillman walk out by himself. I was mad to see Tillman groupies talking to him after the game. Those women should've hit him for being an idiot. The whole year has irritated me. They have guys who are academically ineligible and then the guys who play aren't giving their all. I want all 50K to boo the players when they come on the field on Saturday. That team doesn't deserve cheers right now. I want them to win and all that stuff, but I expect effort and they're not giving it. They're a bunch of lollygaggers right now.

Miserable, I had TCU and LSU Team D in my fantasy league, and didn't feel good about either and picked up A&M's for this past weekend.
How the hell was I supposed to know TCU would own Tceh like this?

I probably would have done the same thing that you did. But seriously you should always go with an SEC defense because they don't know what an offense is in those conferences

I'm going to stay torqued over this one. Texas won't always have a new QB. OU won't always be as vulnerable as this year and Tech is farting good chances away.
DFW recruits saw that game. Are they going to go to TCU or Tech now?
You see Tech's poll ranking fell in the water. They might get back in the Top 25 if they win the next 3 weeks. They would've been in the top 15 and maybe 5th or 6th for the UT game if they kept their nose clean. If you go by poll points, Tech is like 40th.
Check out the bowl ramifications:
Sweep the Big 12. If they beat TCU, they play for the National Title. Since they lost, they'd probably play in the Fiesta Bowl.
Lose only to Texas or Oklahoma. Beat TCU and they get a BCS bowl. Since they lost, they might get a BCS bowl, but they're not top priority.
Lose to Texas and Oklahoma. If they beat TCU, they probably go to the Cotton Bowl. Since they lost, they'd get the Holiday Bowl.
ALL OF THIS IS A RESULT OF NOT SHOWING UP FOR ONE GAME AND THEY DESERVED TO LOSE TO UTEP! I think it's great that they want nothing less than a BCS bowl, but you have to play hard every game to get there.

Tech needs to win 6 games if they even think about being in a bowl game. ;)
