even if SLC loses this year (which is a big if), they will still go down in history as being one of the most dominate if not the most dominate team in the 2000-2010 decade...no one can dispute that

Lee is still trying to get settled on a QB and some defensive starters. They've had a few injuries that have slowed progress and they've lost considerable size on the offensive line.

It really looks like Lee will be totally one-dimensional and if Hines can't get un-tracked, it will be a run-away of epic proportions.

I really wouldn't be surprised to see a final of SLC 63 Lee 0. The only good players Lee had, last season, have all graduated and gone on to Texas A&M. The three good ones that are left just won't be enough for the mighty Dragons.

Only one other 5A team in this decade has won multiple (2) championships like SLC has so far...and I don't think you need me to tell you who it is. :)

SLC-Lee doesn't have the look of a competitive game on paper, but we'll see what happens on game day.

I stopped in on the way back from Phoenix back in '02. They kids were all out cruising up down the main drag. It was kind of funny.. I go to this drive-in Sonic kind of place. So i'm there with my shaved head looking like stone cold steve austin (if he was a bit out of shape) and they were all looking at me like they were really confused. But it may have been the fact that I kind of resemble the postchild for skinheads crossed with a biker and I sound like larry the cable guy. That topped with me driving a big old person car. A buick or something i had rented. They were friendly in that back woods "we dont know much" kind of way. It was like being back home in Louisiana. I started to stay. but i didnt.

Midland Lee is nothing to worry about anymore. They are on the decline. They have been a shadow of their former selves since Cedric Benson left. They missed the playoffs completely 3 years ago and were eliminated early the last 2 years. They also no longer have legendary Coach Parchman. SLC is the new power in Texas. Lee is a bunch of has beens. I am not even sure they are the best team in Midland anymore. Besides, you guys are undefeated versus their district. If you don't beat them by at least 30 points, you really need to re-evaluate your own team's condition.

Lee is a bunch of has beens. I am not even sure they are the best team in Midland anymore. Besides, you guys are undefeated versus their district. If you don't beat them by at least 30 points, you really need to re-evaluate your own team's condition.

Funny quote from a MOJO fan who's teams haven't smelled the playoffs in 10 years!!!!! Talk about a shadow of their former selves, give me a break.

As for all you SLC fans looking for a Midland Lee fan, you found him. Former Alumni and Player, I just don't check the boards everyday. As for next week's game, I would think that the #1 team in the state could defend their title against my Rebels. Not taking anything away from Lee, but they have a major hole to fill at QB, and some injuries to key defensive personnel right now.

Do I think Lee will win? Not really, but then again this isn't the playoffs and Lee isn't in jepordy of elimination if they do lose next week. I do however think it will be a more competitive game than last years, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. My Rebels should be fine by the time the playoffs roll around this year.

As for Lee not being the best team in Midland, the MOJO fan must be smoking crack.. Midland High has beaten Lee twice in the last 20 years. Last years game Lee won by 42 points (63-21). Midland High lost to Abilene by 38 points (52-14) and Lee loses on the last play of the game to Abilene, in Abilene, by a wide field goal. Go figure his logic.

All right guys, I'll be on the boards till Sunday morning before I'm off for a week on vacation in the Caribbean. So let me have it. You now have a Lee fan to pick on........LOL

Thanks! I'm just trying to get a read for what you guy's are thinking.....

I'm driving over 6 hours in, from El Paso, to watch this game. I just hope our kids can show some semblence of competitiveness. It would really suck to drive that far for a repeat of last year, or worse. However, what I said in my first post remains true.

I think West Texas residents are trying to figure out what to do with all the money we're making with $60+ oil, instead of reading the board this week. LOL

Did I say it did? Are we even talking basketball? But just so you know, I am sure Reagan will continue to own SV in basketball, I mean, SV is still playing football during that time unlike a lot of schools (Reagan). And yes, several football players start on SV's B-Ball team.

You did say that "history stated".....and funny...Judson was still playing football when bball started

The Mighty Rebel Express is just getting warmed up!

I just haven't been able to tell if we're using coal or diesel, you know with the price of oil these days, my mighty Rebels may have switched to coal for awhile.

In that case SLC will probably win next week, but come playoff time I'm sure we will have switched back to diesel by then and will be ready to roll through the playoffs.

Get'em Rebs!!!!!!!!

Yeah if you saw the game Jamaal Charles had a huge game with over 300+ yards but all for nothing cause he couldn't get the yard gain that was needed. Rebel "D" closed the door on Charles!!!!! Do you remember that Mr. Scooter???
