The first High School game I ever attended was in 1982 Euless Trinity vs. the #1 ranked Bryan Vikings led by Rod Bernstine (the 2nd coming of Eric Dickerson). He ran all over us and we managed to luck out with a special teams touchdown to win 14-13 on homecoming night. Last year the Trojans scheduled eventual state champion Tyler Lee and won 44-41. You think Tyler Lee was just a little ticked when they found out they were somebody's homecoming game?

Not only was Tyler Lee the Homecoming for Trinity, they were Longview's also.

2nd Straight year they were our homecoming team.

Definately a fun time during Homecoming 2004 beating Lee in overtime and basically winning district.

I could add playing undefeated Arlington Lamar in 1986 on the last game of the reg. season. They were 9-0 we were 8-1 - loser went home. Back in the days when only 2 teams made the playoffs. they were probably the cockiest team i had ever seen at that point and we shut em out 21-0 to finish in a 3 way tie for 1st w/ them and L.D. Bell. Scenarios like that helped prompt the UIL to change the rules to where 3 teams made the playoffs.

New Braunfels has played both Austin Westlake and Smithson Valley for homecoming a few years ago. The Westlake game was close, while SV blew out NB. And of course each game was in a different year; we dont have two homecoming games.

In 2000 we got beat by Aldine Eisenhower 49-21. I am pretty sure that was our homecoming game. Ouch!
