Both Texas big-name Texas recruits went head-to-head on Friday. South Grand Prairie got the win. John Chiles has looked shakey at times this year for Mansfield Summit, here are highlights: Week 1 highlights (http://forums.insidehighschoolfootball.com/index.php?showtopic=581)

I don't know how you compare an OL to a QB. Tray Allen is awesome. He even played some defense last week against Plano West late in the game which was key in that victory.

John Chiles is a great athlete. He will likely excel at the next level. John was facing a better defense than Tray. I actually thought the SGP defense did a great job even with the number of points ultimately allowed.

Having said that I think Denzel Dewberry the QB for SGP looked very sharp.
I think he will emerge this year as one of the bright spots in 5a.

With an OL you pretty much have to watch game film and focus on thier play. I sat a few feet from the bench where the SGP offensive line was sitting and FWIW I can tell you Tray was fired up the whole game. See the link below to sunshine preps:

I thought Tray looked good. The boys said he is a beast. Very impressed with the kid.

Dewberry's Back?....Damn

No kidding ... brought back nightmares for me, too.

That kid is going to go to college somewhere and get a free education if coaches can get over his height, or lack thereof. He just wins.......

Dewberry's Back?....DamnI thought he was a Senior last year but no he is a Senior this year. He looks much improved from my point of view over last year. Better passer, runner, so far making good decisions ... seems more confident. He does very well when he puts air under the ball on those longer throws.

Yeah well, Brian Ellis #8 is at Texas now. Malcolm Williams #3 off to OU. So the defense is not what you guys saw last year.
