Bleed all this crazy talk in this thread about 80's rap brought back some crazy memories. We moved the discussion to the Off Topic Link under the title Ol' Skool Rap. It got kinda crazy in there and we were talking about all the crazy things we wore back in the day, mc hammer style pants, tight legging your jeans etc.... and we continued to talk about some of the different rap artists both good, bad and just plain stupid.....like Vanilla Ice. Well I just kinda got on a song writing roll first by making a rap song up for Dragons08 and then he said he was into rock so I did a song for him to the tune of Welcome To The Jungle. Some of the lyrics are similar. I do not listen to much rap now days but I guess I knew enough to come up with some crazy songs. I really have never done that before. It was kind of fun and things just started coming to me. I just put in most of what all of us have been picking on each other about in this tread, ie. fumbles, scrimmages, lane is gone, 9 in a row, you have Vondrell and Chris etc... It just kind of took off after I said that all this picking on each other would lead to a gangsta rap war between the two towns. Obviously I was just kidding but I came up with the fake artist names and then after I posted that I decided I could come up with something to make it funny.....like a fake rap battle.....so basically that is how it happened. I have never rapped a day in my life other then singing songs that were already out on tape or cd when I was growing up. But as you can see I was not just dogging Longview in those raps. It was going both ways. Just adding some humor to peoples lives I guess.

I was wondering if Longview will be playing their games on that field this year? I hope Lufkin and Longview do great this season. I live in Wylie now, which is close to Mesquite and Rockwall, so I hope to make a few Longview games this season.

Hey PA2005 thanks for the compliment. Don't worry, I don't have a studio in my garage so I wont be releasing any CD's in the future. I am not even a rap artist. Far from it. I am an Insurance Agent. The only thing I do is play guitar. As for that....LLLLPPPP.....LP...they holla LP song, man I hate to be rude but that was embarrasing. All that "put yo L's up...now put yo L's back down....put yo L's up...and represent your town" mess made me want to represent the Police and have that CD confiscated from the press box for being lyrically offensive. By the way thanks for helping keep up the great Lufkin website. I sure appreciate you and who ever helps you with that site.

Well since you have season tickets I am assuming you would show up right before the game starts. My son and I like to get there and watch pre-game warm ups and make sure we get good seats since we usually sit on the visitor side with one of my friends. They played that horrible song during the pre-game warmups all the time 2 seasons ago. They were even trying to sell the CD out in front of the stadium at one time. I doubt they sold very many. Believe me, it was very embarrasing.

I have no idea but it sounded like someone with a bad cold/stopped up nose. Kinda like the guy that sang the Humpty Dance song. My son was 10 at that time and he couldn't stand to hear it either. We would both make fun of it all the time. Maybe you can contact LISD and find out where to get you a copy of the song. Then you can put it on your list of favorite songs.:eek:

it's probably the same people who composed our sick, wolf call-----when that wolf call is blasted all around the stadium on friday nights, all that you hear are people laughing....i just duck my head and bury it in the sand---man, that's terrible!! packattack2005----i totally agree with you on that L-L-L-L-P-P-P song.....that sucks!! and to play it over a million times in a row?? i left for vacation with my wife right after the game a couple of years ago(late vacation in Galveston--way cheap!) and we were singing that crap all the way to galveston and throughout the week!! we even got in an argument over that song.....i said there were 3 L's and 4 P's--she said that there were 4 L's and 3 P's------she was right, AGAIN!!--LOL...................

Believe me, the lufkinpanther site has many lobo fans that come in there and tell us how the lobos are going to spank the pack this year. ;) 5atexasfootball, etsupersite, and lpsite are the only 3 sites i go to weekly. I am mainly in here. I have said a few comments on a lobo site but that is rare. But come on in Bleed, we would love to have you. It is usually not very busy there though. Nothing like it is here.

However, we currently average 8-10 thousand hits a month and over 15,000 a month or more during football season from people all over the nation and overseas trying to keep up with the Lufkin Panthers, the site has been much more than my son and I could have ever imagined it would turn out to be.
