It's pretty complete, top to bottom. Richardson is the only school that isn't really considered a traditional powerhouse, now that Berkner has emerged. Who will be the four district reps? When I see a district as stacked as this one, the four team playoff format doesn't bother me as much. We host Plano West in week 2 after traveling to Arlington Lamar this week.

Half of them are winless...right? You think some of them might win a game?...

I saw Plano West play Friday night against SGP, they looked surprisingly good. I was very impressed. If they can just get that offense to be a little bit more consistent they could really have a chance to squeeze in to that last playoff spot.

Yea I heard about that game. I was really happy to hear that Plano West has a competetive team this year.

The scuttlebutt in coaches circle is that it was head by Highland Park who scrimmaged Plano West said that they were the mst physical team they have seen in awhile.

Of course I take that with a grain a salt considering most of the 4A teams HP plays against.

I think they will be competitive, but I think our Cats will take them.

Plano East is the sleeper IMO this year they are not ranked that high,, went two deep last year and are returning a ton of starters.

Allen will also be a team to beat this year.

I also think Berkner is overrated~! too one-dimensional for 9-5A

pot, meet skillet. it is funny to hear a wildcat fan describe another team as too one dimensional. come on now, you have watched enough of coach brence to know what one dimensional looks like with your eyes closed.

In my opinion, this is possibly the toughest district in 5A.

I think you can make a good case for either 9-5A & 26-5A......I'm not sure which is the better top to bottom, but there is little doubt these two districts are the toughest in the state. Whoever emerges as PO teams from these districts will certainly be battle hardened and a load for whoever they face.

What does amaze me is that 5 clueless people voted in this poll for 9-5A as a "soft" district......

Yeah, just curious, but do a lot of other posters on here think that Berkner is overrated and one-dimensional or just the Plano fans?

They look great from a distance, great individual talent, but have to go deep in the playoffs to really validate themselves...

Actually I didn't even notice you spelt it wrong until you pointed it out. I was just pointing out to Mac Is Back that you said 9-5A was arguably the best. Not just the best. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's feelings. :(

I will say that 9-5A across the board may have one of the toughest non-district schedules, if not the toughest in the state.
