Oh, so then that was a retaliation of what SLC did. Man, you guys just don't like each other. that kid really looks like he doesn't have many friends anyway:p . I mean he's the kicker for crying out loud. lol

Well...I wish I could get those 5 minutes of my life back.

Hell, if he was going to do a diss song--at least make it worthwhile--throw in a metaphor or two or some creative alliteration. Sorry, I just didn't like it.

Where's that damn Badger, Mushroom, Snake song when you need it? After listening to this song, that B-M-S song just got a bit better.

All I know is that I will be going to Southlake this year to catch a game. From most observers, Southlake people are nice.

Besides, I don't hate on people that make more money. All that makes me wanna do is earn my degree and have a nice place of my own one day.

I thought the beat and words were catchy. The song is OK with me. I think he's just mad about SLC since he goes to Trinity.

Okay, I know I am just an old guy, but I don't find the song stupid; I find it absolutely pathetic, crude, immature, and insulting, not only to the citizens of Southlake, but to the artistry that should be music in the first place. If folks want to listen to that crap, then they are welcome to do so, but it does sort of make one miss the badger and snake thing.

Ok I see why it would make people mad but everyone is making a judgment before knowing the whole story. SLC kids did make a rap song about all the stuff they have and how rich they are. So in all reality theres nothing wronge with what the kid did. rap starts do it all the time to each other

As I said, if folks want to listen to that junk, they are more than welcome to do so, even if it costs them brain cells in the process. I am not mad about it, however. I just find it sort of sad that "music" has come to this point, no matter who started it. But then, this may be the ultimate definition of "old," when you can't stand what passes for the current trend in music.

anyone realize that the southlake song was just joking around like dcrew said, i belive dcrew knows the writer of "welcome to southlake", while the kid who wrote "southlake diss" imo was serious..acuttaly he was serious, i know who that kid is

consider the fact that most of the metroplex despise us for being 'rich snobs' so the one time our town doesnt just sit there and take it we get blasted evenmore.

And also for those who dont live here, the (southlake) song also pokes fun of ourselves in some ways.

Hey, in middle school, it was all about the beats. You gotta admitt, if you take out the words, SOME of the songs got some pretty good beats that can get the adrenaline flowing before a game.

I still enjoy rap music--just not the rap music today.

"Chrome 22 and platinum teeth.
My b---h shuts her mouth when I speak.
My Bentley ride, it's so unique.
I'm the best--Yo *** iz weak.
Fine dimes is what I seek.
(expletive) hoes every week.
Supermodels to freek-a-leeks."

Pretty much what 80% of rap music is about now.

I've actually started to enjoy fast paced Bluegrass music--that West Texas surrounding ya starts to embed your mind.

Didn't KT create a thread for some lyrics just about a month ago.

Mr. 2000, himself was spittin' platinum lines and posted his lyrics for the masses to see--was actually pretty good.

Wait a second, did you really just say that? "I've been there twice and that's for the most part how it really is..." I don't even know how to respond to that...
How about: YOU'VE BEEN THERE TWICE!!!!! HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHAT AN ENTIRE CITY IS LIKE BY ONLY GOING THERE TWICE??? Please find something more worthwhile than wasting your opinion on us.

Well, I disagree. I work at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, and there are times when I go home the long way on 1709. I've stopped in the stores, and I've even shopped at the Southlake Mall and all of the folks I met were very nice people. That dude has problems.

Sounds kinda like Humble and Kingwood. People think that we are "gangsta" just because we have a much larger african american group of people at our school. The funny thing is we just recently got that African American group to be the majority this year when many students moved to Atascocita. I got to Humble and I know that we are not "gangsta". Its just one big joke.
