I buy collect and play with Lionel electric trains. I plan on being in San Antonio sept. the 6th, 7th, and 8th. I know of one place I'm going too If he still has a shop. Its called small world hobbies on fredericksburg road. might any of you have any other suggestions. My only interest is in used pieces. If Judson is there I may go see what you folks get so worked up over.

I'll be in town on the 9th, but I'm going to a football game up here in Wichita Falls on the 8th. Fredericksburg Road is about 15 miles from Judson. I will be at the Permian games vs. Midland Lee and Abilene later in the year.

How is The Woodlands Mall study going?:D
we're in the 2 nd year of a program which I hope continues to receive funding and grants. As of now, we are still gathering information to form a control group. We are are running a concurrent study of Non-Mall Silicone. My once reluctant assistants are beginning a true apprenticeship as they are becoming aware that "Girls are not the Devil." They still revert to their former beliefs when in the company of subjects of the same age.
Otherwise, it is about the ONLY reason I would be caught dead in any mall, but I am committed to the cause:D .

I love maps- old ones, new ones- it doesn't matter. I'll grab my dinner plate and sit there and just look at an atlas. I have enjoyed Geography since I started reading at about 5 or 6 years old. I've been telling people where to go, ever since then:D !

Me too. When I was in elementary school I could tell people which interstate ran which way and people make fun of me still to this day for being such a map nerd. I also love to collect subway maps from which ever city I visit that has a subway or transit system.

dude, that's crazy because i'm the same way. whenever we go on long road trips, my parents give me the maps and i tell them where to go...i have something like 4 or 5 atlases in my room alone.

I got all of my parents old maps when I was a kid. You know back in the day when you got free maps at the gas station. I've got plenty with Route 66 on them, incomplete interstates, and interstates that hadn't begun construction yet.

I was the family navigator from like 8 years old on. Considering some of my ideas on where to go, I'm surprised I never got fired! I always knew the quickest way to get from Point A to B, but I always wanted to see Points C, D, and E along the way.:D
