Where's he going to college? Anyone know or have any ideas? How's his knee?

The last I heard Hewitt's knee is fine. I haven't heard where he would like to go to college. He has a nose for the football, just like Reggie McNeal did.

Sounds like a few of the Lufkin boys are trying to make a "College Package." Sounds like Tx A&M, LSU or Okla St are the early favorites.

Being an Aggie, I would love to see Hewitt go to A&M.

I just read that somewhere about a few of the Pack kids looking to make a package deal. I'm just glad they have a great chance to go to college and also play football at the next level wherever it may be.

I couldn't agree more. Coach Outlaw does a good job of instilling character in our players. It seems that every year we have question marks, and every year those questions are answered both on and off the field.

I believe he also mentioned Miami in one interview.

I hope Shankle and Hewitt end up at LSU.

They better make sure he is fine before they put him on the field. Quincy Grant(Longview's QB) was supposedly "fine" when they played him last year. He also had a full offseason to recover from his injury(torn ACL) and went down hard in like the third game of the season. Yup, exact same injury.....out for the year.

IMO a healthy Quincy Grant could have been a difference maker last year. Lufkin has not really practiced yet, and I don't think Leonard was going hard in 7 on 7, but I'm not sure.
I know LSU has been kicked around alot in terms of this group recruiting visit that occurred. I sure hope these guys stay in Texas - but I'd rather see LA than OK anyday.

EJ Shankle, Mandela Roberts and Hewitt - maybe more, but certainly those three.

If Hewitt wants to win a Championship then he needs to go to TEXAS! :D

Hewitt is fine. Quincey Grant came back too quick. Hewitt played 7 on 7 and had no problems. Leonard will be able to play for any college he desires.

It's all about the rehab. Quincy had much longer to rehab than Hewitt but he didn't rehab properly. Quincy did not take care of business. If Hewitt has rehabed well then I guess he could be ready. They might want to start him out slowly though.

Im pretty sure he has offers from Miami, OK, and LSU. Maybe even Southern Cal.
