Hey all yall ET fans, just thought I'd let ya know I went to the ASU scrimmage last night, and saw Nance play. He was mostly running with the 2's and looked pretty good. Didn't break any big runs, but I was amazed at his strength and ability to move the pile. Didn't stop moving his legs at all. The only hiccup I saw was in goal line he did a little too much dancing on one run (which surprised me) and was stopped for no gain. Keegan Herring, the starter, looked really good and so did a JC transfer at RB they have, but from what I hear out here Nance will play as a true fish. ASU fans are happy about him and I've heard lots of positive things out of practices about Dmitri.

Definitely not, he won't be lost in the shuffle out here. ASU is excited to have him.

Dmitri was so underrated as a result of our OL. What people never noticed was that alot of his runs were made after breaking tackles. Dmitri's work ethic has also been incredible. His offseason an summer workouts will some day be legendary around Trinity. Another thing I noticed about him is that he does not have world class speed off the field, but on the field he can turn it on. He has some pretty stiff competition at running back at Arizona. Man, do I wish he went to a Texas School.

Nance was a solid RB last year. I believe he may be the best player from Texas who graduated last year.

It's a pretty shatty situation if you ask me. The fans and players love Rudy Carpenter, sophomore, a ton. Keller, a senior, won the starting job but players approached Dirk Koetter and said they wanted Rudy to be the starter.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say Nance was the best player in Texas last year.

Trinity has always had a good line, but Nance was that special back that really took advantage of it.

If he stays healthy and clean, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him working on Sundays.

Nance was THE tailback last year and had superior moves. He could change direction in an instant. He reminded me of a Tony Dorsett (speed) with a little Barry Sanders (elusive) in him. The guy is not going to runover very many defenders but he will side-step them and make them look silly. I am more than willing to say he COULD have been the best RB in the state. I still feel, when it is all over 4 years from now, he may be the best player to come out of Texas High School Football last year!!
