I know it's two weeks away, but how about some early predictions for two of the best matchups of week zero in San Antonio. Reagan vs O'Connor and Seguin vs Madison. Both of these games should be very interesting with potential playoff teams.

That is just not going to happen. Just isn't. I promise you. I am not saying we wont possibly lose. But a 21 point loss isn't feasable.

Wipe those tears away seguinmatadors and stop taking this so personal. My prediction is based in large part on Madison's history of success early in the season and inablility to win the big one in the playoffs. Madison will win this game. But if you meet them in the playoffs I will go with Seguin.

No tears her Lucci. Just making it clear that we will not lose by 21 in any game this year. This opening game is dangerous... because it is the first game... and it is on a Thursday at the dome. But even with a bad start, I can't see us getting our ***** kicked.

Madison will have some guys. Their JV was damn good. Madison over Seguin by at least three TDs.

I wouldn't say it isn't feasible because you've done it before, but I will say it's not probable. The Seguin-Madison game will tell me a lot about both teams.
As far as the playoffs go, Madison has done more in the playoffs than Seguin and their choke reputation is overblown.
05 they lost to SV, who got to the Semifinals. 3-1 in playoffs.
04 they lost to Taft, who lost in the Quarterfinals to SV. 1-1 in playoffs.
03 they lost to Westlake when ol' boy got hurt. They probably would've gotten to the Semifinals, but Westlake did. 0-1 in playoffs.
02 they lost to SV by 1, who got to the Finals. 3-1 in playoffs.
01 they lost to Westlake in OT, who got to the Finals. 3-1 in playoffs.
Madison is 10-5 in the playoffs this decade. Their problem has been that they weren't the best team in the region and lost to talented teams. It hasn't been them choking away games. The Taft game is the only one that you MIGHT say they blew. I kinda write off that Westlake game in 03 because they were ahead when ol' boy got hurt.

I must agree. JV success many times also depends on how many injuries the varsity team DIDN'T have.

Not always. Jsut depends on how good your Varsity team is. Madison will have a good team this year. They have some talent at the junior level. The question with Madison as well as Reagan will be at QB. Big shoes to replace.

All I have to look at is Marshall's results from last year, and based on 2005 stats it would be a good matchup. Obviously 05 is history so things will change, but I have confidence in Mac to become a playoff contender.
Unfortunately, I'll be missing the Mac-Marshall game because I'll be in Rockport for the weekend.

All you guys posting a Reagan win need to re-look at O'Conners team. Horny is not going back to QB as earlier stated. He will again be at RB with a Junior QB moving in. The talk on the Northside is that the kid is awesome and just really developed over the off season. I'll try to find out the kids name but Reagan will have their hands full and I just don't see them winning this one.

yes it was a great day to go into a game and beat a team that thought they were going to have an easy path into the next round.
