How many females are on here?

I was wondering how many females are on here and how their interest in football got started.

I'm female!! and I'm in band thus I go to EVERY game!(FREE...my favorite part...) and I never understood football until my freshman year when all the guys that played drums in front of me would tell me any and everything. It got to be a tradition that they would quiz me on what just happened to that I would learn my football! I'm still learning but my love for football is ever growing!!

Thanks! yea i've been on the board for almost a year, i just like to read what people say because I doin't know a whole lot about other schools so i try to find it on here. I don't understand why girls my age don't like football even if they don't watch it for the actual game like I do, the good looking players might be an insentive!!:p

We have a couple of girls on here from Katy. But we actually do have allot of girls that love football in Katy. I know one young lady who is a senior this year and has not missed a single game in 10 years. And she is not there to socialize either.

But you are correct about the incentives.

As far as females on here....approximately a doz with just a few being active. The ones who are truly knowledgable about the game and active are, CyFallsMom

Now those are your main board chicks. There are a few on the LSWC board too. Also just wait for football season to kick in and you may see a few others increasing their activity that I did not list.

That stinks and I know the feeling. You lose both ways because you're miserable if you stay home because they don't like football, but you also feel bad when you leave them behind or they feel betrayed because you left them behind.

Ok for clarification... maybe I should have put one of those smiley faces at the end of my last post. My wife will usually go to the game with me (as long as the weather is good). She just isn't a fan of the game and really doesn't care who wins or loses. On the plus side...she's a great cup holder :D .

Yea this will be my 7th season of Roosevelt games, and I think I only missed one and that was because the game was delayed, so we drove back. It was in 01 when Roosevelt was 4a and they played Gregory Portland in a play off game, and it rained like CRAZY!! The game ended up starting at like 9pm I think

not this year.. we have MAYBE 125 people.. and a dline of 3 people who have been on it for longer than a year (we have 6 snares, 3 quad,5 bass)...and only one drum major who is..."learning"
but hey we do what we can with only like 1 hr practice everyday.. thank you construction...

Dang, I didn't know it was that bad. Last year you all were pretty good. I know Reagan's band is probably gonna be good again this year. I'm pretty sure we have a full compliment.

There are several females way out here in West Texas that post on the LSWC board. For a while the admins over here were very kind and let us use their board while our new "home" was being built on another site. (BTW thanks again admins!!!!) Personally, I learned to love a game I would never play because of my grandfather and my dad. They never treated me any different than the boys and when I asked questions - they answered them instead of telling me to "go play". I spent many many hours watching the 'Boys and the Oilers with my Pops and wouldn't trade a second of it. God was wise and blessed me with a boy that loves it more than I do. :D I fear if I would have had a girl, she would be a kicker!! hahaha....

I know I had heard from some buddies that Nelson left and I am not sure if Finkbeiner(spelling?) is still there.

On the football end of things, I would predict the Riders make the play-off's this season.

Given that none of their players get into trouble like last season. :eek:

yea mr. nelson left after the 02-03 year. we are on our 2nd dline director since then and he is in his 2nd ever year of teaching and is a lsu alumni.
we can't play the ruff ryders anthem anymore because our band director didn't like it lol
