After finding out that I would miss Katy and the Woodlands at Reliant, I learned that I would miss the Jersey Village game as well. Once I pulled all my hair out and dented the hotel wall with my head I realized there was a silver lining to this sad miscarriage of justice. I will be in Denton so that should give me at least two good Friday night games. Those in the area please post your suggestions of some of the better games those weekends, Saturday too if there are some good ones. I could drive as far as an hour away. I would prefer 5A but a lower classification game that is compelling would be worth considering. Please provide a little history of the rivalries etc. I will be in severe withdrawal so any help is greatly appreciated and the humane thing to do. Thanks.

Week 1

Week 1, Midland Lee @ Euless Trinity should be good. If you want a game that doesn't seem to be close, visit us at UTA vs. Bowie.

okay you were never on the feild, its always a hard fought game and its always nasty...Maybe you should drop your dang flute and get on the dang field for a change...They you'll experiance what its like to play Coppell...the scores never show how hard boths teams fight, the emotion...

okay okay...it still hurts a year after you get beaten 70-21 and then were embarresed on ESPN with the whole circling the loss on TV

Now I'm bein' neutral in this and I don't wanna add fuel to the fire....but what was the score?

Whoops, sorry....I posted it about the same time CoppellCowboy did.

What is the deal with week "zero"? Why not just have it as week 1? does the week Zero game not count or something?

No, it counts they just wanna end the regular season at week 10 instaed of week 11.

That's kinda odd.. But, hey if it works for everyone, then why not...

Thanks for the info.

I don't think I've ever given it any thought. To me zero meant no more waiting. Come on ZERO!

Every team has a bye week somewhere in the season, some teams take week zero as a bye week others take it in the middle of the season

Saturday August 27 @ SMU

Allen vs. Mesquite @ 5 (Allen opens it up offensively and word has it that Mesquite is going to the spread with still some option football)

Denton Ryan vs. Highland Park @ 8 (Might still be a good game to see even though Stafford's out. His replacement is pretty good too.)
