ESPN-U STILL PLANS ON TELEVISING LEE-COLERAIN LIVE (IN 49-STATES)
Smoaky.com has learned ESPN-U still plans on televising the Tyler Lee-Cincinnati Colerain game live on Friday, September 9th in all states but Texas.
This comes on the heels of yesterday's decision involving the Legislative Committee in Austin.
Last month, a member of Fahlgren Sports Marketing told me ESPN-U planned on televising the game live or tape-delayed regardless of any decision made by the Legislative Committee in Austin...and there was also discussion about ESPN-U not having the capability to black-out any one state.
However, John Fahlgren of Fahlgren Sports Marketing told me this morning, the live telecast is still a go, and ESPN-U has the ability to black-out the game in Texas.
Tyler Lee-Cincinnati Colerain can be heard on AM600 KTBB.

I guess the "can't black out one state" was a bluff.

I don't care. I will be in Port Arthur watching Lufkin play P.A. Memorial that night and there will be tons of other fans supporting their school that night that won't see this game. The real high school fans will be at the games on Friday night sept. 9th supporting their home teams. How many would actually not go to support their team that Friday night just to watch the Lee-Colerain game?
This game only has meaning to mostly the Tyler Lee fans and Super-Centex, Lee's adopted brother. The way this thing has turned out has proved that John Outlaw made the wisest of moves by turning this Ohio offer down. Thanks John. UIL is doing the right thing for the good of ALL schools in Texas High School football.

Don't know what the UIL is thinking...I also will be going to see 'Shore play. Yeah, I'd love to see it but I'd tape it for the next day and not miss my Mustangs. Also saw an interesting rating about Colerain in the Sporting news high school addition. Looks like they will have a bunch of starters coming back from last years championship team. Don't know how Lee will stack up against them since they won't be the same team as last years'. Should be interesting............................

TWO HEISMAN TROPHY WINNERS HONORARY CAPTAINS FOR REL-COLERAIN
Three Heisman Trophy awards will be represented as the Honorary Captains for the coin-flip before the Tyler Lee-Cincinnati Colerain game on September 9th in Columbus, Ohio.
The Tyler Rose, Earl Campbell, the 1977 Heisman Trophy winner while at The University of Texas, and the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner, Archie Griffin of Ohio State will be on hand for the pre-game coin-clip before the Lee-Colerain game.

Now that is cool. I hope I can find some way to watch this game. I think you guys that say this game has no meaning are cheating what you really feel. This is a huge game and could be the start of bigger and better things.

i am just curious, are they going to show this game, like again later, as in late friday, or saturday or something like that, so the people in texas can see it, while their team doesnt have a game and what not?

i thought you only get ESPN U on satalite? cause i thought it comes with the sports pack package or what ever? they might be able to block it out though, cause when you look for the tv guide on the internet, it asks for your zip, so i wonder if they could just block your zip as well?

It looks like it is setup to replay at the same time on Sat Sept 10 on ESPNU. If that is a satellite only channel, I'm out of luck. Darn.

Well, anyone who has satellite won't be watching that game if its raining light or heavy in your hometown because it can't reach the signal through the clouds. Lol that be so funny if that happens or else you should get digital cable if you complain about that lol. just playing with you.

You can find it on either KTBB.com or Smoaky.com via
online streaming.
Just log onto either one approximately 30 minutes before
kickoff for the pregame show.
Listen to the Best HS Broadcasting crew in the business
with Smoaky and RJ handling the game call.
