I think Midland Lee's is 'Ol Miss.
I'm not sure about Permians..never heard it. I don't think it's a college fight song tho.

No, it's different.
Lufkin and Southlake have the same fight song and that is "On Wisconsin"
Midland Lee and Pflugerville have the same fight song....I can't remember what the name is tho.
This is an mp3 of the P-ville fight song

On, on, Pflugerville
We are right for the fight tonight
Hold that ball and hit that line;
Every Panther here will shine
And then we'll fight for the blue and gold
And then we'll cheer for that old varsity
...Fight...fight
And we'll bring home a victory!

The best part of Lee's fight song is when the crowd chants R-E-B-E-L-S REBELS! and then the band plays "Dixie." It's just awesome.

A lot of schools I think use On Wisconsin....I think SA Macarthur uses it.

Permian's original fight song was to the tune of some college song, whose name escapes me. The current fight song is called On Wings of Victory, and was written for the band. Not sure who wrote it.

I've always liked that Abilene Cooper's fight song and school song were original. At least I've never heard any other school's sound like them. :)

And that fight song is among the single most annoying songs I have ever heard. Geez, I hate that thing...... .

Yeah South Garland uses "Dixie" as their fight song. I know they were having problems in the 1990s because they would go and play Dallas Skyline, Carter, Sammuel.. and they would ask South not to play their fight song during the game.

I couldn't believe when I saw this tread. I mean this is a random topic that few people would even think of, but coincidently, I had this very same conversation earlier this week.
A good friend of mine tried to convince me that the Lee fight song was the same music as Texas Tech's. I assumed it was the beverage we had been consuming for several hours that made her think of this comparison, but she was serious. I couldn't convince her that they don't sound anything a like. The funny part was the she and I both attended Midland Lee and Texas Tech. You would think she could hear the difference. I mean they don't sound anything a like.
But in fairness to her, I guess that most songs start to sound the same after 4 hours of drinking cold beer.
Thanks for your help. At least now I can tell where she can look to find a school fight song that sounds like Midland Lee's.
P.S. If KKK reads this thread, I just want her to know that everyone really did enjoy your attempts to make them sound alike.

Abilene High's was probably the most annoying in the state last year, as most of our opponents know. ;)

I dunno what the name is, nor have I been able to find it on the internet. However, PM me your e-mail, and I can send several AHS band files.
P.S. Technically, AHS has the oldest marching band in Texas, est. 1926.
