the other day an old oilers game came on tv and one of the recievers was named mike renfro...my question: is mike renfro related to clint renfro...like an uncle or his dad or somthing like that or is it coincidence that they have the same last name and are great players

Looks like Clint got his grandfather's speed and his father's hands. Not exactly a bad combination for a receiver.

We're sure glad that as a member of the "lucky sperm club", he is in Dragon Green!

Ya, and that still was a dang catch against the Steelers in the AFC Championship game.

Ya, everyone knew the AFC Championship that year was the Superbowl. Renfro's son reminds me some of his old man with some of the catching skills. Just the son has more speed in the wheels. :)

If you remember that catch Mike made..it was a leaping grab where he turns in mid air & pulls it in....just like his son..

Ya, their styles & mannerism ( on the football field and in uniform) are very similiar to each other. The son just has more seperating speed.

what i loved about mike was he could catch anything thrown his way. he might not be able to run all the time with it BUT you could always depend on him to catch that football! it'll be nice to watch his sons career.

Call it home field advantage. The ref knew the Immaculate Reception hit a Steeler first, but he didn't want a mutiny by throwing a flag on Pittsburgh.
Houston lost the game by a TD. There's nothing to say that they would've beaten the Steelers or that you'd beaten the Rams in Pasadena.

NOT ME! The Cowboys had home field coming off of that great comeback against the Redskins and got beat at home by the Rams. LA had a 19-17 lead going into the 4th in the Super Bowl, so it's not like you'd cakewalk in Pasadena.
