Since the Wilmer-Hutchins is not opening up its doors this school year, Dallas ISD is taking in the districts' 2700 students and bussing them through out the district. As far as the high schools, Hutch's entire senior class will be going to South Oak CLiff High School(4A). The other numbers are below along with new capacity percentage. Maybe SOC will be back in 5A next year.

Two of those seniors are already committed to Kansas; a DB and WR. And Wilmer-Hutchins were ranked #5 in the THSCA pre-season polls.

(Info from Dallas Morning News)

• 77 students, Carter, 92 percent
• 257 students, Roosevelt, 57 percent
• 150 students, Smith, 75 percent
• 203 students, South Oak Cliff, 79 percent

SOC instead of Madison? I guess the protests by the former WH students about having to play for their biggest rival were heard.

SOC just got a whole lot better...

tap on the brakes. the chemistry of soc will have to be taken into account. these kids know nothing of the soc system, coaches or kids. how will they help if they aren't likely to get much pt. soc wasn't lacking for football talent. this will be a grand experiment, and 1 i'm sure will be followed closely. does doubling (almost) your talent numbers double your success? we'll see.

W-H kids have been working out over there all summer with the SOC kids so I am thinking the chemistry thing won't be too bad, you know?

The DB is Anthony Webb who's daddy won the NBA Slam Dunk in Dallas back in '85 if my memory serves me correctly. So, he's like those Calvin Klein models, he's got good genes.

how fortuitous if that is so. they deserve some good fortune after everything else that's gone wrong.
