KT does not have the correct last name for Lufkin's kicker/punter.
He is Jamie' Fernandez, he is a 6'2' 230 lb junior punter/kicker for the Panthers.
He has excellent 50 yard+ FG and punting capability.

During the Lufkin vs. Waco High game last year...the Waco announcers called him Jamie with the "J" sound...not the "Hy" sound...drove me crazy.

Yeah I remember that too. When Lufkin played the Woodlands their announcer kept calling Javorskie, "Javorshie Lane."

There was an older man sitting behind us at the SLC game...he called him
Jawopskie the entire game. It was hilarious.
Hey I had people poke fun of both my first and last name all of my life...
I can laugh at someone else's right?

Old people are always a riot at games.
I like to sit and listen to what they have to say.
Sometimes they get really off topic during the game
I like to hear them butcher other peoples names.
At a Clemens game two years ago, this old man almost started World War 3 because someone was accidently sitting in his seat, which the old man claimed to have had for "25 years! God Dam***!!!"
:D Very Funny!!!

Well in the '80's the world wasn't pc...and kids were down right cruel.
I was the little cross-eyed boy with the curly Q hairdo...Good Lord...
they were horrible to me. And then to top it off ...I was called wide@**
wide-this, wide-that...and I can't even go into the first name thing...
To this day...I have only had a handful of people see my full name for the
first time and pronounce it correctly.

yeah bog but you still were very popular and still could hook up with the girls. we used to do it up huh??lol oh the old days!! lmao you had eye surgery to correct it at around 12 or 13 right?? who knew that was going to have to go through several eye surgeries in my mid 20's due to a crazy car accident??
ok we are waaay off topic!! :)
i think jamie has the best leg i have ever seen at lufkin when he hits it right. he seems to be a little inconsistent but when he gets a hold of it dang!! reminds me of the slc kicker a few years back. he is not that good yet but he has that kind of leg.

I remember the kid from SLC back in 2002 when Lufkin played them at WISD Stadium. I remember watching him during pre-game warm up. He was nailing them from the 40,45, 50 and then if I am not mistaken he booted them from the opposite 45 yard line. Who was he and what college is he kicking for now. Surely he is kicking for someone.

That would be Mr. Garrett Hartley, now kicking for the OU Sooners (much to the chagrin of a few of us Dragon fans who are also UT alums).

I was 13....and it helped...got a lot of sympathy votes...with the shades on for 3 months...Teachers were like...."you can't wear shades in class"
Wanna bet...I got a doctor's slip that says I have to...hahahahaha
I was the coolest...
And that song was out right at the same time..."My future's so bright...I gotta wear shades"...lmao
We were quite the pimps at Lufkin's Dunbar Intermediate School...I wish I could go back to those days.
