you seem to be very knowledgeable in the areas concerning twh. I'm sure you know the histroy of why back when. So can you, or any one here name the last true woodlands back. Not a back the moved in from Caney Creek, Oak Ridge or for that matter New Orleans. I guess milo is the latest in a long line of transfers, they must grow them strong up in north county.

By the way I was at the state track meet last weekend. For the life of me I could not find the runners from the woodlands listed in the program. Then it hit me... they were under the C's for Conroe The Woodlands.

ok, so about "teh" woodlands quarterback situation.....is it parsons for sure, or is wyatt going to make a run to become the starter so they can have a dual threat out there???

Parsons will be the Woodlands main qb and wyatt will probably see more time as a reciever. The woods will use wyatt mostly as a run qb probably because i dont think he is as accurate as parsons. Wyatt is probably the most athletic kid on the team and it would be stupid not to use him at another position.

The position to watch for though is the RB position, with Tracy Milo playing this year will be a good kid to watch due to his amazing cutback ability. Also from what ive seen, a recent transfer has been looking very well as the support for milo.

It was brought to my attention off the board that Kenny Hicks was the last true highlander running back to come through the system. He left in 03' after spliting time with Samson Taylor. the tranfer is originally form the woodlands. he played on the jv his sophomore year and then moved to louisiana and is now back.

No woodlands running back has played all four years there are no freshman that play on the varsity level as for 3 years i have no clue to be honest with you

DJ Smalls and I am sure this others but the thing I have been seing is that some of our running backs from the freshman either lose interest and join track or go to another position so I dont know what to tell you but then again we have alot of utility players that could easily play both sides of the ball so if you could find out the answer my props to you any thing else you would like to know?

Hahah alright give me a minute Wyatt is a stud he just is an athlete but he will rotate with recievers and mckey will be playing te and wr he is becoming really good at blocking we have also switched our offensive line around too colton mckey will be a major threat this year and some of the other wr's are ryan mooney and jordan sexton use taylor charbonnet and talaco williams any more hahah:D

Dodson is a wr he is doing pretty good like i said we have a ton of depth in the wr and carey poarch is doing good he is quite the scrambler

Tony Rizzo has become a very sound and smart QB. He's also one of the top students in his class. Like top 5. He's going to see some action this season as a mop-up role.

Porch is a very good all around athlete and may be on the field as a FB.

Alright Poarch is both a JV quarterback and a varsity quaterback in the spring now in the season it could change he did play some full back. Now the Wr's are like 8 of them they are all studs grote, mckey, williams, dodson, mooney, wyatt, and charbonnet as well now alot of those studs are on the baseball team as well but some future good wr's for the Woodlands in the class of 09 are Tweedy and Eastman

Since Lukin and the woodlands should be playing for the district championship on ESPN this year, i have a feeling that this will be a battle and hopefully not a blowout due to it being on national television. This should have both teams very determined to win.

So he is going to Tyler JC ?? That's good to hear and hopefully he gets back to 100%. I never saw him play but heard he was a "Load".

Isnt he like 6'2/300/4.8 type of kid that is really strong ? He sounds like you could put him down as a NG (ie. Casey Hampton) and just plug up about 7 feet in the middle of the field.

Anyway, hope he does well at whatever he does.:D

Lufkin rarely gives 30 or more points to anybody besides SLC. I do not see that happening.

I think he poses a legitimate question. I wouldn't go quite that far on Parsons though. He has the physical tools, just needs to put everything together within the offense. Very little chemistry within the team that I could see last year, mainly on offense.

ya, your right...always bashing teh woodlands....did you even read what i just wrote about the defense??? comon now, get over yourselves...and the answer to your question...in my opinion conroe will get the 3rd spot in the district and will probably be 6-4 or 5-5....which isnt saying much for the team that gets the 4th spot and goes to the playoffs!!! and as far as players go....ss ryan thornton is a load, fb antonio kelly will rack up the rushing yards, there are no sr rb's but they young ones are talented, qb will be a jr that is a duel-threat, o-line has 2 solid blockers but needs more help, d-line isnt very big, lb's should be good,lots of varsity experience

Parsons will have a great year. not only him but our 6'6 tightend that has some great hands will be a major factor to the O. TWH has more than just Grote on offense, multiple other targets for parsons to throw to will be available unlike this year. Parsons experience will allow him to carry this team

I am telling you that The Woodlands offensive line will be pretty good this year because we are athletic and strong and alot bigger i am telling you right now that those weight numbers on the summary and height were not nearly as close as they are supposed to be and with tracey milo playing running back i have never seen a kid read the field as well as he does trust me the offense will be a huge threat this year dont worry about it we will score points and our deffensive will stop alot of drives

Good point KT. That is three teams that havn't been posted yet, plus lufkin in district. Four top tens = four losses in past years. That offense may have the potential, but can it come together in two weeks not having taken a snap since November?

well, obviously your not good enough to be coaching on friday nights....so i figured 7 on 7 would be a good way to settle it...and conroe has has alot more deep playoff runs than "teh" woodlands

trust me son....i do know alot more than you about football, and probably "teh" woodlands history also...i am a football coach and i did play football at klein forest, i wasnt in band, orchestra,key club,chess club, etc....and im thinking about coaching a 7 on 7 team this summer....why dont you join one too and we can find out who knows more!!!
