Well there have been many preseason polls that have come out now, but I was wondering what most of guys thought of as your personal #1.

Longview simply has the most going for them right now. But I don't think people give the Irving Tigers enough respect. They just get unfortunate and draw SLC in the playoffs the past 2 years. They have one of the best RB-WR combonations in the state with Evans/Tennel and a solid defense. Only question for them will be QB. But I won't be surprised to see them run through the Division II bracket if they don't draw SLC in Round 1.

I can take the poll in any number of ways, but I bet you know how I voted. I might've voted differently if the question was posed using other words, but probably not! :D

Till the day I DIE, I will say that It should have been Coppell vs SLC in the first round...Irving wasnt that good of a team, and there deffense is horrible...
in a game the allowed 900 yards of total offense, about 425 each, doesnt show a good deffense on either side of the ball...

When I was in high school I used to really follow the high school football rankings, but the older I get I see more and more that it's mostly a popularity thing. There are some polls that voters are only voting by what they have heard about a team. And you seem to hear more and more coaches admit that they'd rather not be ranked - just gives their opponents more fuel to want to beat them. Win a state title and then you can be "ranked" No. 1! :)

I'd like to say Tyler Lee, but I think Longview is going to be the toughest team in the country(yes, the entire nation) this year! This year, I'm glad we're big school. It could be 2 state championships from the same district. (And it's ok if I dream a little bit, isn't it?)

No -
Irving got lucky last year that there division was top heavy - they were not that good -
Hey my team Fossil Ridge beat them. (Get to brag about something).

26-5A stands the best chance to win 2 titles, but 12-5A is in the running.

Why can't this poll be like Chicago? You know, vote early and vote often! :D We'll take some Jim Wells County dead people votes, too. :p
