Katy-Woodlands will be a good way to start of the season...gonna be there. My goal is to get the chronicles top 10 rankings...and go to one of each teams games...two birds with one stone at Reliant.

I Dont want to start another thread, but what games have the makings of being some great upsets this season?

Woodlands at Lufkin, that will be the first big game for the Panthers...it will be a packed house at Ole Abe....Woodlands fans, just FYI, I would get there around 5 pm to get a seat.

my bad, havent even looked at the schedule on that one....yes, I would shoot for noon or 11:30.....Lufkin has all the season ticket holders sitting on our side, then the leftovers sit on the visitors side. Can't wait for the matchup between Drabek and Hewitt...should be a great one

Now I am confused? Our webpage also has the 28th at 7:30, here is what the schedule says on this site under Lufkin schedule, then Woodz schedule under that one?:

duke, drabek did not beat hewitt for any td's. drabek did have about a 25 yarder on him when hewitt went for the pick and missed. hewitt hardly covered drabek that game for some odd reason?? i remember wondering why?? i am pretty positive that hewitt did not give up a td all year.

hewitt only covered drabek if he lined up on hewitt's side of the field. you do not remember us lufkin fans throwing fits about that after the game?? we were all wondering why they did not have hewitt on drabek no matter where he lined up. the woodlands coaching staff saw this and just kept on lining him up on the other side where hewitt was not.

From what i heard.

Outlaw recieved a call from TWHS that requested the game be on a saturday.

Outlaw replied: "We play our football on friday nights".

I am pretty sure it's friday night at 7:30.

Hey that might not even be what he said or all that was said. Unless you were on the line listening to both coaches I would not start saying or even thinking that Outlaw was being rude. If the schedule was set for a Friday evening game I don't know why the Woodlands would have a problem with it. And if they called Outlaw to see if we could change the game to sat. to make it more convenient for their fans then I would think that is kind of selfish. I know Lufkin had good fan support at all of the out of town regular season games that were played on friday night. Whatever day the game actually is played on will still be a great day to watch these two teams battle it out on the field. Hey just be thankful that you don't have to drive to at least 4 out of town regular season games that are as far away from you as Lufkin is. Now when you make the playoffs that is a different story. I know you have a good following when it comes to fans making the games. Lufkin does too. You all have a great season!!!

HAHAHA!! I just wanted to see how long it would take for a LP fan to respond to what I said!! I think home field should have the right to have the game when ever they want! I will be there regardless and can't wait!

DeSoto at Trinity.

This game will be one of two things:

It will be the game which shows that this website is over-rating Trinity like no other. Trinity has absolutely no passing game, and put on poor 7-on-7 showings. Their running game is good enough to fall back on but they need to step it up in the air in order to live up to the expectations this site is putting them at.

It will be the game which shows Trinity *can* be as good as this site is making them out to be. But I think Midland Lee and Tyler Lee will be tougher tests for Trinity anyway, so I wouldn't count a DeSoto win as very huge, although it will be big.

It is very possible for Trinity to be 0-3 heading into District 6-5A Play. Fortunatley for them, they get the three easiest teams in 6-5A(at least in my opinion) to open up 6-5A Play.
