85% of our so-called fans don't believe in us anyway, we won't have "die-hard" fans until we get there, especially since our district has 11 school all within a 19 mile radius of each other (Fort Bend) so most of the people in the Fort Bend community are what you call "fair weather" fans, because once things go wrong, they go across the street and watch another team, our first Varsity season when we went 3-7, the support was never there, in fact we were acually booed at our own pep rally, and that still haunts me today... so fans ain't much on my mind during the games, i play just like it was if it was our first year, our side of the stands are empty... me, my team, and our coaches, we're all we got... we're family

Thanks for that link. That tackle has quick feet. Your average tackle could not make that play. And, the average QB usually isn't patient enough to give the tackle time.

It's good to set your sights high, but you might want to focus on getting out of the region before you start looking to the trophy.

I know you want a piece of them just like everybody else does.....BUT....you didnt beat Strake Jesuit with your Best team so i dont think it would be very pretty. This one would be over when SLC gets off the bus.

As we over at Cy Falls have learned - it's one game at a time - never look beyond the next game. I like your spirit but there are hundreds of teams out there who would like to do the same thing. However, it's ONE game at a time...from the first pre-season to the last playoff game.

We thought we were completely out of the playoffs last year and then a couple of minor miracles happened and we backed in. I think that's when the team officially became a team and decided that they had to not go beyond the current week's game. I wish you all luck - sounds like the adrenaline is flowing freely over there. SLC would be a hard team for anyone to take down I'm afraid...although a lot of us would like to see it happen:)

"I'd like to shoot for the moon, so just in case i don't make it, i'll land among the stars..." *classic* and OOOOOOOO guess what, our practice today was disrupted a short moment due to a SWARM of Killer Bee's migrating through our scrimmage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has that ever happened to anyone??? I was scared outta my mind, i mean seriously, i know i'm not the only one who has watched Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel, and/or When Nature attacks on FOX, i mean, one second i was breaking out the huddle to run our next play, and i turn around and see people runnin, then i hear the "hummm" of the swarm and next thing i know it was dark because it was like a dark cloud of them just flying by.... and oh my they were FAST i mean it seemed like forever, but they had to be flying a 3.4 40 yd dash lol :D , i heard the stories about people being chased down and attacked while on motorcycles and stuff, but wow i didn't know they were really THAT FAST, no one got hurt, thank goodness, they jus flew right by us all willy-nilly lol, a few flew through my helmet, literally, in my face mask and out my earhole tryna keep up with the group, i ran a 4.4 40 for the first time in my life, i know in a span of a few seconds i went from the 30 yd line to half way to the fieldhouse!!!! we all were scared but, they jus flew by, the black cloud just kept on moving, well at the end of practice we all took it as a good omen, as our defense has been called the "killer bee's" before, i said its a reminder of our defenders swarming to the ball with reckless abandon, and inflicting pain, lol :D , well maybe thats just me....

But SERIOUSLY has anything like that ever happened to another team???????

luckily when bees are swarming, even africanized bees, they aren't very aggresive. they are looking for a home. the fact that no one got stung really doesn't prove anything one way or another. with regular honey bees, you can handle them without fear of being stung, with your bare hands. after they settle down somewhere, they revert to being protective and somewhat more likely to get after intruders.

If you think Div. 1 athletes gets you a state championship (Div. II anyways) or even a playoff berth you're sadly mistaken.

Take a look at the Div. II State Champions from the past 6 seasons. Which in this case is only SLC, Katy, and Lufkin.

I know Katy, in that time period, has had only 3 or 4 players go onto play Div. 1 ball. Thats 3 or 4 players in 6 years. SLC hasn't sent too many either, prior to last seasons team, to D1. I have no idea about Lufkin and how many they sent from there State Championship team.

I think the SLC and Lufkin posters can fill us in on that a little bit more.

I know those facts, trust me i do, and to me its sad to have the best team in the nation or state and not that many athletes getting a free ride to continue playing the best game on earth, I know us having all these athletes going to college for free, in which some may be the first to go to college free (or college at all) out of their families history... so i'm proud of that, because ir i know anything, I KNOW our coaches have our futures in mind, not just winning the ball game, and thats rare in coaches, and ya'll know it... so if anything, i know our coaches are busting their tails trying to get us to college, and i'm comfortable with that...

O-Line,
Keep on believing. Don't let the naysayers convinvce you that it can't be done or that the game is over as soon as some team shows up and gets off the bus. Anything can happen come game time. That's why they play them. No victory is guaranteed. Keep working hard and best of luck to you and your team. Hope to see you in the playoffs.

thanx for being a realist on this board... some people have been blinded by fear of another team, and previous records... the previous year really means nothing to the next fall to me, a new team, a new season, and eventually this year in 06' a new State Champ....

no, but the article are talking about athletes that are on this years team, they've jus committed early... they will be playing for us this fall.. we've actually had 18 to go play college ball from this graduationg class, the one's they're talking about in the article are from the class of 07'.
