What stadiums are new this year?

What teams NEED to get new stadiums?

Are there any plans for new stadiums to be built in the next few seasons?

I know Justin Northwest is opening up a jewel of a stadium this year. Justin is a town about 20 miles north of Ft Worth.
Lewisville and Marcus both share Goldsmith stadium, at one time it was a dandy of a stadium, but times have changed. I think this district could benefit from building a new stadium for all the school to use, Flower Mound's stadium also is a pretty bad stadium.

Dallas Carter & Kimball, DeSoto, Mansfield High & Summit, the Cy-Fair schools, and the Frisco schools are all moving into new stadiums this year or the next.

I drove by Northwest's stadium the other day, beautiful. Not very big, but real nice. I couldnt see what type of turf though. Its also out in the middle of nowhere with a two lane road (at least thats how I saw it).

I didn't know the Cy-Fair schools are getting a new stadium. Can you tell me where it is, and what they are going to do with Pridgeon? That was a nice stadium, I hope it doesn't go to waste.

I think he might be talking about the new arena. I have not heard anything about CFISD getting a new football stadium.

It's not new this year- but we (North Austin-Region 2 15-5a)
have an awesome new stadium...Round Rock ISD Athletic Complex..I think it's a year or two old?

Garlands' HBJ Stadium just got the new turf, with the tire marbles, installed over the summer and it just got completed within the last couple of weeks. Looks really nice. The South Garland band was practicing on it last Thursday. I also noticed they spent the better part of a week changing light bulbs.

Lufkin's Abe Martin Stadium is having some renovations done over the summer with a new instant replay scoreboard and artificial grass turf added along with a new 70 yard indoor practice facility and weight complex. There are other improvements needed at Abe but this is a good first step.

That's good - I've always thought it was a little dark in there.

They are playing a lot of the early "marquee matchup" games at HBJ this year (GHS vs. PESH & Carter, for example). I think they are trying to show off the new turf so that they can attract some playoff games this November...
