That news has been posted on the Panther website all week, KTRE is a little slow with their news.
Thursday, October 26th @ 6:00 P.M. @ Buddy Moorehead Stadium in Conroe.
This will be a good match up this year, especially being played in Conroe.
The biggest problem will fighting that traffic around I-45 at 5:00 to get to the game.

Should be a great game - I guess that means leaving L-town around 3 pm to beat traffic.

Good to see some other Texas teams getting the chance to shine on national tv. And considering this game could possibly decide the district makes it that much more entertaining.

The worst part of any trip to Moorehead is when you get near the stadium, and the road becomes one lane each way. One way in and one way out.

ok...lufkin is obviously a very understandable choice...GREAT team, GREAT tradition, GREAT recent success....but unfortunately i believe that the game chosen probably had something to do with money and "teh" woodlands....i think lufkin shouldve been on national tv against a solid opponent...i mean they do play longview and evangel christian.....

The Woods gave them a nice run last time they played at Moorehead. Should be worth watching.

Solid opponent or not against Lufkin, at least it brings attention to Texas HS football. Hopefully the game will not be one sided. To bad state championship games can't be on national TV.

I wish it was a game I could not attend... I will be there.
LP fans will be leaving at noon to get there early, from what I've witnessed in the past...
Go Panthers!(3 more years until our oldest son is in HS, then I guess I'll start cheering for the schools here!)

the last game at Conroe was one of the best games I've seen in a while 35-28. TWHS has consistently been a top 10-15 team. Money may have played into it, but I doubt it. In all probability, it should be another good game.
LP and the Lobos WOULD also be a great choice. Lots of D1 prospects!

1st off Lufkin fans should leave Lufkin between 1:30 and 2:00 traffic has been terrible on any week night. Between 242 and Cornrow can easily be jamed.
After all you're in Cornrow. Panther fans if you don't watch where you park they'll tow you. These guys have no class.
Second, there was no money involed. Just two great football programs period. Teams that have a lot of pride and talent and dedication.
Cornrow it's called hard work!
Clayborn, Bryant and company vs. a very strong experienced defense.
What a great opportunity for all of these kids and communities to shine.
And by the way Cornrow folks, you can watch this game on something called cable TV I understand they just got it up there. Cornrow only wished they have teams like ours....
But as long as they have a Asskamp as a coach a lengend in his own mind they'll never go anywhere...the story will be told... stay tuned...

ok....whatever...but anyways...moorehead stadium definately is not one of the best around, and the press boxes/scouting boxes need some improvement, i just hope that the nation cant tell from tv how much the stadium needs to be upgraded!!! but congrats to lufkin, its about time that they got this publicity!!!

Moorehead is a better facility then the tiggers deserve. The Conrrow folks made sure they got the funds to upgrade there facility like a Jumbo scoreboard in the last bond election.
It wasn't just about our new sport complex. And our money....The Highlanders will final get their own home field in south Montgomery county.
Moorehead is technicality the home for the Highlanders. Coach Willig was the AD that got new turf for Moorehead.
But, the Nation refuses to use the home locker room of the Tiggers. The Highlanders have been using the vistors locker room for years.
The Nation rather be in a unairconditioned vistors locker room then to spend time in the Tigger's den.
Cornrow5 why is the Tigger coach prejudice of Afrcian American kids?
He's made it personal mission to keep kids from playing on his tigger team. That's why kids who want a better education environment and play for a winner come down to the Nation. You see we let everyone in our community play.
Instead of trying to destory a kids' dream to play football and stay in high school and have pride on being on a team. Maybe he should try to build a good football program for everybody.
He poloarizes his kids, parents and other programs in the district.
A real winner....looser!
Panther Fans watch out for your cars!

Was there for the game. Parking was horrible and getting out of parking lot was even worse. Very poor preparation by the Stadium. Ran out of stuff in concession stands. Would hate to play there very much.

that was the biggest crowd to take in game at Conroe since a kid named Earl from Tyler came visiting. It was funny to me how LP people kept showing up through 1/2 time. I think they could have had an HEB under the stands and run out of food!

Keep the Woods-Conroe arguments off the board please. Been down that road a couple of times. Thanks.

The worst part of any trip to Moorehead is when you get near the stadium, and the road becomes one lane each way. One way in and one way out.
The street going in and out has been widened to 4 lanes. There is more than one way in & out. Just depends on if you know the streets around the stadium. You can EASILY get from the stadium to either 105, the I45 service road, or north to loop 336 if you know the area. Mapquest it.

Thank you KT2000. I don't want to hear them whine anymore. I am actually going to give twh props, although it is really the Pack that deserves the television opportunity. May this, please, be the last time I hear that twh gets no respect. Shut your mouths and open your eyes; ESPN (the worldwide leader in sports) is coming to broadcast your game. Whether "the nation" can withstand the challenge like this is yet to be seen. This game is not about the Lufkin O and experienced twh D. But, whether or not Parson's can get it together for 4 quarters. You can bet Lufkin will blitz all night, and he will be running for his life. Never mind that last statement, let’s hope for some good blocking and sharp rout running because 5-flat won't get him that far.
