According to his agent, McNair will either be released or traded to the Ravens by Monday. I would like to see him stay and mentor Vince Young but it is possible that may not happen. Guys your thoughts.

Been floating around for a while now. He's likely headed to Baltimore. The Titans coaching staff feels confident that Billy Volek (who had a very good year for Tennessee in '04 starting 8 games when McNair was injured) can be the starter while Vince learns. However, if you read some of Norm Chow and Jeff Fisher's quotes, they lead you to believe that they think Vince might play sooner than most people expect.

Heck I want him to play right away but I rather have him learn the speed of the game before starting him and I would like to see him as McNair's pupil and backup.

I think things are going to work out just like they did at Texas. Vince will spend a year learning and working, but by year two, his abilities and talent will be so great that you just can't keep him off the field. In many ways, Vince wasn't ready to play his second year at Texas, but you just have to put a freak like that out on the field. In the end, he played through some struggles and it made him a better player in the long run.

I think Vince Young will have a couple of painful growing years with the Titans. But, hopefully by year 3 he'll be tearing it up.
I didnt like it when ESPN showed some of the other QB's that have been taken with the 3rd overall pick the last 10 or so years. I think everyone of them has been a bust.
Hopefully Vince Young can reverse that trend.:D

McNair won't be in a Titan uniform much longer. He's carrying 28 million dollar contract and Tennessee needs to get out from under that to free up money for VY and other draft picks.

Yeah that is a big contract and I guess they are rushing to move it.
