I feel compelled now to rant on about the asinine nature of the comments made comparing Reggie Bush to Michael Jordan. I keep hearing all of these ridiculous posts saying Houston should draft Reggie Bush because "you just don't pass on Michael Jordan".

Let me start with the obvious... the only thing basketball and football have in common is the fact that players of both games wear numbers on their backs. In basketball, it is possible for one man to dominate a game. It is possible for one man to single-handedly win a game for his team. Nothing could be further from reality in football. It takes a team if you want to win football games. A RB doesn't do squat if the cattle up front don't block for him. A QB spends more time on the sideline than on the field if his receivers don't catch passes. You get the idea. The comparison is stupid to say the very least.

Second, would you draft Michael Jordan if you already have LeBron James on the roster? Of course not. Let me translate that into football terms. Would you use your first round pick on Carson Palmer if you already have Peyton Manning on the roster? Of course you wouldn't. It wouldn't make any sense to spend a first round pick on a position that you are solid at and it doesn't make any sense for Houston to draft Reggie Bush. I'm not knocking Bush at all. Just saying that he is the wrong move for Houston. He's nothing more than a glamour pick that will not turn Houston into a winner. Houston has so many needs and so many holes and they plan on using their pick on the one position they have that is actually already pretty good. What kind of sense does that make?!?! This makes about as much sense as Detroit drafting Carlos Rodgers and Roy Williams with back-to-back first round picks.

Unless you are the Houston Texans.
