this thing is seriously a waste of school time and my time...why take a test over stuff i already have taken and passed a while ago? pointless!

for some reason i am sooo relaxed on these vs like tests in regular classes, its like i know this stuff is stuff i've learned already and have taken tests on, so i just focus on that stuff..they throw in stuff that has no use in the problem to try and stress you out

Junior level is Exit Level. So you have to pass to graduate. I don't have to be to school tomorrow untill 12:05 :D

Taks is alot harder then the TAAS tests were. I never actually had to take the TAKS to graduate but I could see it being a thorn in someones side.

I know i will do fine. I just got to avoid the stress by not getting stressed out and take my time and I will do fine. Plus having faith in God is a huge advantage for me and that should help me do well is the faith I have in him.

Yes I did fail them last year and they didn't count and I was so upset when I got the results back. If I fail this year I am going to feel so disappointed that my junior year was for nothing and that I let myself down. I don't want that to happen because I would feel really depressed about it. I just want to pass it this year so I don't have to take them next year and not have remedial classes in place of my electives.

Well I showed up at 8:30 this morning because my mom didn't want to go to work early, get off work, pick me up around 11:30, drop me off at school, and then go back to work so I had to go to school at 8:30 and wait in the gym until 11:30 so basically I went to school and got bored out of my mind in the gym for 3 hours and the bad thing about that is we were sitting there doing nothing and the teachers wouldn't let us play basketball.

My brother is being faced with the same thing. Since he is a sophmore he doesnt have to be to school til 12:30. However I will go to school at 7. Thats 5 and a half hours. If he doesn't find a ride, he will be bored silly.

my first two days of driver's ed last year were rather interseting..first day i drove a little chevy malibu or impala, on side streets and subdivisions...next day, i drove a pickup truck down 1709 (basically the busiest road in southlake, a TON of traffic) now that was a fun way to learn to drive..next day i drove an envoy...so my first 3 days i've driven 3 diffrent types of cars, so i got used to them fast ( i had to)

I hate stick shifts. I haven't driven my truck that has a stick shift because I think that its going to be hard, plus I find it easier to drive a standard.

Yeah all my teachers told me to do the first 20 questions and then move on to the last 20 questions and then the middle. I heard that 3 times today from my teachers and I went into the testing room with that strategy and stuck to it. I know I did well I'm just hoping that the results come back good.

Yeah your lucky for that. I hope that I can do that next year and avoid taking those tests again and avoid the remedial classes that will replace my electives next year and I want to have electives instead of remedial classes.

if you feel stressed like at all, just stop everything, take DEEP breaths...teacher tought us this...have your palms and fingers interlock and align with each other, as you breath in, pull your arms in, as you breathe out push your arms out...he said it in a sense, gets you 'high'...high on oxygen, allowing your brain to refresh itself and relax, plus if you dont know it, just skipping that problem helps to, then come back and do it later

LOL. When I had to be at school at 12:05 yesterday I got up at 11. I sat around for half an hour then went to get some food. When I realized it was 11:30 I put the food back in the fridge and went and took a shower.

Yeah I know. That was my reaction but here's a strategy I learned today. Do the first 20 questions then the last 20 questions and then do the middle questions and you will do fine.

When I take the TAKS i put my answer book under the test book, and fill out all the answers in the book. That way if I decide to change an answer I don't have to try and erase it on the book. It also prevents me from looking at how many questions are left and getting bored/mad. This won't work on the SAT or any test like that though...

if you dont have a test, you dont have to come to school, for example i had to take math tuesday and had no tests wednesday, so i would have had yesterday off...so my idea is dont come to school if u dont have a test...because yesterday for me was extremely pointless...and i also think that if you finish taks before 12 you can leave school...oh well lufkin gets next thursday and friday off so im not complaining

really? the science seemed just a tad harder than the math...the science IMO was more opionated, like 2 answers on some could logically be correct, i suck at those, so id go back and re-read parts and most of the times theres a word that let me knows which answer it is

see, i tend to 2nd guess myself sometimes, so that method wont work for me, i almost ALWAYS stay with my first answer, so i like to right it on the scantron, so its less tempting to change

It might just be me but I think that gay sex law was ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court sometime within the last few years. However I'm studyin for my constitutional development final right now and trying to remember every major case in american history is about to make my head explode so someone with more knowledge should attest if they know.
