While I know the Young/Bush debate has been hashed to pieces already, Just a few what-ifs.
Young has proved himself to be a winner and has a huge fan base already established in Texas.
Jerry Jones has a large new stadium being built that will need seats filled.
Jerry Jones likes his team in the spotlight.
Jerry Jones likes to make money.
Jerry Jones likes to make money and work the "cap" no.'s
Will the owner of the Saints want to spend $50 million for a 2nd QB, or a tackle, or a DB ?
Does Jerry Jones have any ties left with the Saint's new HC ?
Jerry Jones would sign him for $50 million , then pocket an extra $200 million off Jersey $ale$.
Jerry Jones likes to make money.
Jerry Jones has proven he run's the team, so Parcells is a non-issue in my mind if this were in play.***Johnson-Switzer***
The marketing potential of Young as a Cowboy is astronomical.
Jerry Jones likes his team in the spotlight.
Jerry Jones likes to make money.
Will he try to pull it off ???? Draft Day will tell.

That would be awesome to see. Having VY and Owens? That would be a dangerous combination once VY gets the hang of the NFL.

Owens would last two weeks into the season if they take Vince. He'd raise hell about Vince not giving him the ball enough. Roy Williams even made his displeasure known his senior year at Texas about VY's style, but that's before Vince refined his passing game.

Vince was joking around before the Rose Bowl and told some reporters that USC didn't know what they were getting. He said Texas was "gangsta". I believe he was pointing at David Pino at the time. :D
Classic Vince... classic greatness.

Word is that Southlake's Adam Ulatoski is going to take over the team's "gangsta" persona now. :D

Why don't you just throw Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, LT and a few others in there to make it sound more realistic!
Dallas won't get Young.

Heck I wish that they could get Manning, Harrison and LT then the Cowboys would be the yankees of the NFL with a $200 million payroll.

I shudder to think what Snyder would do
But unless Dallas has enough draft picks to fill Bill Parcell's bra, then they ain't gettin' Young.

And how long, if ever, will it take for vince to learn the nfl game? If I were a coach....Leinart would be my quarterback of the two.

If I were a coach, Leinart would be behind both Young and Jay Cutler. Leinart has Tim Couch written allll over him.

Unlike Leinhart, Young is a QB that can run and pass. Leinhart can only pass. He didn't run the 40 at the combine.

1) Leinart
2) Cutler
WR: Young
Leinart learns offense quick and I think he may be the better pro quarterback.

That's not all that matters. Leinart is able to pick up offenses a lot better and read defenses better. I think he'll be the better pro.

Leinart is without question the safest QB pick in this draft. He has prototypical NFL size. He doesn't have an impressive arm by any stretch of the imagination, but he has spent the past 5 years playing in the exact same boring offense that 90% of the teams in the NFL run. All Leinart will have to do is adjust to the speed of the NFL game and he will be set. I see Leinart and I see the next Jeff George or Matt Hasselback. He'll never "wow" you, but he'll get the job done.
That being said, I believe it was the Packers GM that called Vince the Michael Jordan of football and said there has never been a QB prospect in the draft with Vince's upside and that is very true. There has never in the history of pro football been a QB come along that has done what Vince has done and that is capable of doing what Vince is capable of doing. It will take Vince a little while as it takes almost every NFL QB. Few QBs come in and are able to play their first year or two and I expect no different from Vince. As with any QB, the right team at the right time can lead to greatness. It's just that Vince's capacity for greatness far exceeds anybody else’s.

C`mon Seguin Tim Couch was a sure thing;)
These days it hard on top QB draft picks, they`re getting such huge contracts, that teams are throwing them into the fire too soon. Theres some real potentual hall of famers being washed out, because there not tearing it up right off the bat. No patience for grooming....

Dude RR07 would be mad if Snyder screws up and takes someone that isn't projected to be picked until the last round on day 2 of the draft with their first pick.

Cutler is the one I am less sold on. People have had Leinart and Vince as the top QBs for a long while now. During the season, Cutler moved up, but even at the end of the season, he still wasn't really considered a top 5 QB just yet. Cutler's stock has soared because of the combine (where he had the stage to himself), pro days, etc. It is always very dangerous to take a guy who moves up that quickly based solely on what he does in offseason combines and such. There have been a lot of QBs who had decent seasons only to have their stock rise to unrealistic heights because of combines and workouts... most go on to be busts. Guys like Akili Smith and John Kitna come to mind.
Personally, I have never understood the NFL's obsession with these combines and workouts. They're good to get the player's measurments down and see them in person to see what kind of shape they are in. But why you would want to base a draft pick on that data makes no sense to me. So, Reggie Bush runs a 4.33 on a rubber track in shorts and a shirt... so what. When was the last time football was played on a rubber track in shorts and shirts? Why in the world would you base anything off of that kind of data? Watch the games... that's all you have to do. If you want to know how good Leinart is... watch his USC games. If you want to know how good Vince is... watch his Texas games. Who gives a rats a** if they are able to hit 50 of 55 passes with nobody on the field but a QB and 3 WRs. What does that tell you... really?
The NFL has the strange obsession with overanalyzing players. Half the stuff they put these players through is ******** and tells you very little about how they will do in an actual game. If you want to make the combine and these workouts effective, don't have them run 40 yard dashes. Have them spend a week or so with pro coaches working in a pro offense and then put these guys on the field and let them play a couple of games. Then you will see who is capable of what.

I'll just use myself. If I got out there and practiced, I'd have X performance. If there is some benefit like to be drafted higher, I would play/perform better. Even beyond that, I would perform better if somebody was across the line of scrimmage. I just need competitive juices of beating somebody on the field. We have to be playing for something for me to do my best.
