Eric Moulds - WR - Texans

Texans acquired Eric Moulds:D from the Bills in exchange for a 2006 second-day draft pick.
Houston signed Moulds for a reasonable four years and $14 million, including a $5 million signing bonus. It's uncertain whether a fourth or fifth-round pick will change hands. Moulds' 2005 numbers have a good chance to rebound with Gary Kubiak remaking the Houston offense. He will face single coverage playing opposite Andre Johnson for a much-improved pass attack. Apr. 4

Andre Johnson - WR - Texans

Andre Johnson should benefit from the acquisition of Eric Moulds.
AJ hit the jackpot this off-season with the additions of coach Gary Kubiak and Moulds. Johnson has endured very weak No. 2 receivers (Corey Bradford and Jabar Gaffney) as teammates throughout his three-year career. Apr. 4

Yes we finally get an experienced WR to help AJ become better and he makes the team better giving Carr another weapon.

I don't think this is going to happen but it could I want them to draft bush with the first pick and then try to get at least 2 good lineman without trading bush(because i know that if they want to get decent linemen they will have to trade bush and I will be really pissed if they did that).

all the big OL FA's this year were extremely overpaid. Scheme and coaching will make the current OL group leaps and bounds better than previous years.

I agree somewhat Dawg, but I really don't think all the blame can be dropped on the OL for the problems last year. Due to some injuries and a lousy coaching scheme, the OL starters were moved around more than Bill Clinton at a Fund-Raiser Ball. There was absolutely no continuity or consistency thru the whole season. I think with most of the current OL roster and Coaching scheme, we will see great improvement this coming season. The Texans must add some depth to the OL though cause next seasons schedule will take it's toll.

Reggie Bush - RB - CLG - Apr. 17 - 8:10 pm et

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports there are "legitimate reasons" to believe the Texans will not draft Reggie Bush with the first pick of the NFL Draft.
Shefter cites multiple sources from inside and outside of Reggie Bush's camp that the Texans are more likely to draft Mario Williams or trade down. The Texans haven't approached Bush about a possible contract and key members of the organization didn't meet Bush when he was in town. This could be your typical pre-draft smokescreen, but Shefter was adamant this wasn't the case. Need-wise, it makes plenty of sense. Apr. 17 - 8:10 pm et

That's great Houston...now the greatest addition to the program - this offseason - is a 33 year-old receiver, 34 year-old rb and a ("first round draft pick") defensive player no one really knew about until the end of his senior season.

I guess the concept of rebuilding didn't truly cross their minds. Or perhaps they want to start a retirement community called the "Should Be Retired Foundation"...or the "What-Not-To-Do-When-Selecting-In-The-First-Round-Of-The-NFL-Draft-Club".

Yes it's true and it not new news...almost everyone in Houston KNEW he was leaving before the draft even started. He is taking a job with the Raiders...wich made the pick that much more fishy. Why would you let him make decsions for the team and you KNEW he was leaving??? Texans G/T Zach Wiegert should be Houston's starting right tackle after Todd Wade's release.
Wiegert, like many Texans' linemen, is switching position as the team transitions to a lighter zone-blocking unit. Any change is good change with the Houston O-line.

Texans signed T Charles Spencer, the No. 65 pick of the 2006 draft, to a four-year, $2.22 million contract, including a $610,000 signing bonus.
The early third-rounder has played only two seasons on the offensive line and has great athleticism and size (350 pounds). The former tight end and fellow draftee Eric Winston will attempt to rebuild the Houston offensive line.

LB Kailee Wong (knee) could be ready for the Texans' opener.
Earlier in the offseason, coach Gary Kubiak speculated the veteran might be sidelined well into the season. Wong, coming off two knee surgeries, is reportedly likely to start on the strong side.

Texans CB DeMarcus Faggins will miss at least 6-10 weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
He'll have a pin inserted shortly for a "Jones fracture." Faggins was expected to possibly replace Philip Buchanon as the team's starting cornerback, but those plans will be put off now. He looks unlikely to be ready for Week 1.

Texans signed CB Dexter McCleon, formerly of the Chiefs, to a one-year contract.
McCleon may not be the best player around anymore but he has starting experience and DeMarcus Faggins is hurt. He'll push for a nickel role in Houston.

Domanick Davis experienced no swelling in his knee after returning to practice for the Texans.
So far, so good. Davis is only practicing once a day, but he could put up big numbers in Houston's offense if his knees cooperate. "This is a huge week for this team and that player, and I think we all know that," coach Gary Kubiak said.

Texans waived DT Robaire Smith, WR David Anderson, DB Kevin Garrett, and DB Michael Stone.
Smith is quite a surprise. The 29-year-old received a huge contract only three years ago from the Texans and should be very attractive on the open market. Look for Anderson to get placed on the practice squad.
