Not 5a, but interesting. Of course Kinne is one of the top qb's in any class, transfers to Gilmer for safty reasons (better blocking?) and now Canton wants to cancel the game with Gilmer in the East Texas Classic. Strange days indeed:confused:

I've been following this story for a couple of weeks. Alot of scrutiny surrounding this transfer. It is very legitimate though. After all that has happened I would move my son too. I would've done it sooner though.
I would say attempted murder on the coach in broad daylight is a valid safety concern.

Gilmer was state champs in 2004 and would've beaten a lot of 4A and some 5A teams that year.

Thats the point. If its for safty, Why not Wills Point, Or Van? They are closer to Canton Than Gilmer;)

There was speculation that he might transfer to North Mesquite since they have ties to the program, but I guess for whatever reason that didn't happen.
