I have not heard of Bill Parcells saying much about T.O. either way. I heard he has been quiet silent in fact. Which, with him, could be a bad thing.

Does anyone know of his opinions on things?

He probably won't say anything about him until traning camp starts.

KTCK, The Ticket, 1310 AM here in Dallas was recently announced as the new flagship station of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry said that there was a number of events and announcements that would be released solely to The Ticket. While there hasn't been a formal announcement on Parcells, there had been much speculation this past week.

One train of thought is that Parcells is a big buddy with Tony Larusa and has been in camp woth his team all training camp. While this seems a bit odd for him to be there and the cowboys doning business here, it's really not, if you think about it. There are so many ways for Parcells to see palyers and scout while he is there. He can be watching video on a computer at the same time as someone here in Dallas is watching the same thing. He is in comstant contact with Jerry and other necessary Cowboy officials.

Another thing is that there must have been an agreement between Jerry and Bill about who is visable and when. We all know Jerry wants his time to be the face of the club. Bill wants his, but it is speculated that as Bill grows older, his need for the spotlight is lessening and his need for downtime is increasing. Therefore, Bills' time in the spotlight is August through January and Jerrys' is February through June. Bill is the man through training camp and the regular season and playoffs and Jerry is the man from the league meetings through free agency and the draft. Remember, Jerry was almost non-existant through the regular season, as compared to previous years. The season ends and Jerry becomes the face of the club and Bill gets his downtime.

That is the most common theory around here as of now. Also, it is agreed that Bill is making the big personel decisions and Jerry is signing off on them. Communication between them is no problem even though Bill is in Florida.

I think there's enough room for both egos if they work at it.

The general opinion here is that the TO move wouldn't have been done without Parcells blessing, in fact, possibly it was his idea. The beat writers here and guys who practically live at Valley Ranch agree that Parcells is the final guy on personnel, whether he is physically here or not. If a move is made, it has Bills' blessing....period.

I am glad that it was his decision to bring him in because he knows how to handle players like that.

Some people can be bad guys and bully others, but that doesn't mean they don't respect nobody. Parcells is the biggest-name coach Owens will ever play for. If he can't get through, nobody will.

If he can't get to Owens then he will be an uncoachable player and every player can be coachable.

I sure hope the Tuna is up with TO signing, if not Dallas is in a bit of trouble.

Theres reports out there that he`s not to cool with it, but reporters sometimes like to start crap, especially when you`ve got some one like TO involved...

Tuna the Tamer!:D
